Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Retaining Wall - Who is responsible? 7Dec 15, 2009 8:15 am I got an email back from my CSC (much quicker than i anticipated) and she has advised that they are not planning on doing any cut/fill on that particular boundary, as the house is being build on the other side the block and its not required. She has said that if the block is built up as much as i have indicated and its stated in their engineering report, then they will be responsible for any retaining system required. I guess i'll wait to see what the neighbours say next time i see them or they contact me. Thank you again Simeon.. I will call my certifier for that.
