I have seen then done in a few different ways, but just wondered if someone has them if they could post a pic and let me know what they think of them. Thanks, V Re: Plantation Shutters on sliding doors? Anyone have them? 2Dec 13, 2009 10:00 pm My quote was $4300 to cover the door, so no, I did not get it. Re: Plantation Shutters on sliding doors? Anyone have them? 3Dec 13, 2009 10:11 pm We were going to get it for our upstairs aluminium sliding door....but it was too fiddly because it's not like a window where there is a frame to put the plantation shutter in. This meant that a bifold system was out of the question. The other suggestion they offered was ........imagine it being a 4 panel plantation shutter. Our manufacturer could only do the two left ones opening to the left separately...and the two right ones opening to the right separately....so it means that the two middle panels...then opened would cover the empty space left by the side panels opening up against the wall. So we could not have all 4 panels of the sliding door fully opened to let in full light. I hope that makes sense.
