Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 08, 2009 9:32 pm Hi all, I am writing this thread to put in one place, threads I have found spread around the HOMEONE forum (and the web) that have informed me on the building process. I have organised the list from Pre contract (where I am now) to post construction (after the maintenance warranty period expires)… Please add any threads/websites that you think could help all of us ‘newbies’ get a grip on this building game. What do you think of the format I have selected to present the data…? Am I missing any obvious headings?; Would breaking the list it into Builders Payment instalments be an easier format to follow? Can the Forum Administrators allow me to modify the original post, based on people’s feedback to make the information easier to access? Any other format suggestions are welcome. If not, every so often, I will repost the list to the thread with the additional threads/website that have been added. Look forward to making this list more thorough and useful. Regards Alf… Built Hallmark Home in SE Queensland - modified Flair 181 - no A/C: n/e orientation - 9 foot ceilings - copius insulation - loads of windows - fresh breeze - home... Re: Building a new house: a HOMEONE useful threads collection 3Dec 08, 2009 9:39 pm Dammit, I did it all in MS Word with the hyperlinks embedded into the words... The hyperlinks have been stripped when I pasted it into the forum.... Does anyone know a quick fix to this problem? If not, I will repost with the hyperlinks functioning over the next few days... In the meantime, most of the list's items come from the homeone forum, so just place the list item in the forums search tool and it should return the thread...plus maybe a few other relevant ones...
