I really like the area - I'm looking forward to moving there. How are you? It's been a while Well, you've almost doubled my posts! Good work! It will be nice when you finally get to move there. I'm good; things have been really busy. Doing the school run from my old house to the new schools lately, so it's a little hectic, but only for a few more weeks, hopefully. The early mornings are taking a toll on us! Re: Ready to go in Mernda. Land settlement booked in Monday 69Feb 10, 2010 9:49 am Small update - just paperwork really. Mortgage documents signed, and land settles on Monday!!! Still won't start until around May but it at least feels real now (two mortgages - doesn't get much more real than that ). Colour selection is Thursday week, and whilst DH is still arguing with me over tiles (he wants shiny...), the stair case (I want timber) and the oven (am upgrading)...we (ok more me) aren't doing to badly. When I get myself organised I'll post what I'm thinking for your ideas... Cheers M My house and my rants.... - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=26937 We are in!!!...and still unpacking. Until I see samples in front of me my brain doesn't work! Feel free to come over and show me stuff though, I can cope with visuals There is some serious action on the street today. Our swimspa is going in finally, next door to us are having their driveway done, opposite are heading towards a concrete pour for their slab and there's a big cement truck parked on your block right now that I presume is doing stuff for your neighbours. Peaceful and quiet it ain't but it is interesting to watch! Re: Ready to go in Mernda. Land settlement and prelim colours.. 73Feb 10, 2010 12:27 pm OOOHH.. Did you say swimspa? Ok note to self....when go to Wanna's house take: - wine - colour samples - bathers.... You might want to hold off on the bathers until we get the landscaping done. We've got the biggest pile of soil you've ever seen back there right now and I think the thunderstorms about to hit so it will be mud city soon! Wine and samples though for now sounds like a great mix! Re: Ready to go in Mernda. Land settlement and prelim colours.. 75Feb 10, 2010 5:56 pm Wanna mpcj OOOHH.. Did you say swimspa? Unless you have a secret identity, that is. ANYWAY...there's only one double storey house in our street and I don't think anyone gives two hoots. We did pray for a single storey on the vacant block next door and our prayers were answered, but if it had been otherwise, so be it - you get what you get on a new estate. Now I'm hoping not to have a double behind us.... Your colours sound great - and for goodness' sake, don't let your husband have a say in anything important. He can be king of the garage....
