Re: Dollarz House...1 sleep to go....I'm getting nervous. 65Apr 29, 2010 10:20 pm Pebbles OMG how exciting...I wouldn't be able to sleep if I was you! I had to meet the electrician at my place this morning, he was fitting all the lights/fans etc and I couldn't sleep just because of that!!! Can't wait to see "moved in pics" I usually didn't sleep much when I was upset about something or worrying myself over what seemed to be at the times something major. It was major for me at the time to ensure it was done the way I want. Hoping to get the lounge delivered Saturday-fingers crossed. Almost brought a new front loader washing machine but really had to restrain myself. I wish we had the blinds in. Oh well, at least I know they are on their way. Re: Dollarz House...moved in...eyes popping out of head. 66May 02, 2010 10:59 pm Just a quick update to say the past 2 days have been the worst 2 days in a long time. Moving is horrible and whilst it should be the most exciting days of our lives it has been a stressful, hard-working and aching 2 days. In saying that tings are slowly coming together in the new home. Last night wad our 1st sleep in the new house. It took a while fro me to get some REM sleep but eventually it did happen. We did manage to set up the bed last night and enjoy our new comfy mattress as well. The bed took about 4 times the recommended time to construct the bed. Either we were are idiots or the 30mins time frame applied to robots. I also last night managed to colour code the bathrooms with their appropriate towels. Dining table is in it's place however still need to get those floor protectors for the chairs. Don't want them scratching the timber. Tonight I have started to unpack the crockery and vases and so forth. The other half tonight ensured they set up their computer. Glad to see he gets his priorities right. I am still yet to set mine up. One major lesson I have learned in this whole process is.....I HAVE WAYYYY TOO MANY CLOTHES! I thought I would never say it and believe it but yes it's true! More items have to go. I have already thrown out to the op-shops bags full of garbage bags. I even found shoes I had never worn before. So, there you have it. That's all for now. Probably be on again in a few days and hope to get some photos posted that aren't looking like a chaotic mess. Re: Dollarz House...moved in...eyes popping out of head. 67May 03, 2010 12:11 am Moving ALWAYS sucks - that was bound to be stressful. The exciting times are what come after the moving. It's all up from here!! Enjoy your new home, and congrats =) Re: Dollarz House...moved in...eyes popping out of head. 68May 03, 2010 8:31 am Oh how exciting that you're in!!! I hope you have a much better sleep tonight! Re: Dollarz House...moved in...eyes popping out of head. 69May 03, 2010 9:07 am Moving is very very stressful and exhausting now you're in you can slow down...a bit and enjoy putting things together. I can't believe your brain was able to construct a message well done. Re: Dollarz House...moved in...eyes popping out of head. 72May 03, 2010 9:31 pm I have one and only one move left in me for the next half of my life-and that's to the new house! After that they'll either be carting me off to the nursing home or out in a box-either way I won't care and won't have to pack! Last time I moved like this I was 12 and Mum & Dad did it. I agree about the moving. It is just so time consuming and exhausting. If I ever move again I think I am just leaving everything behind lol.. I don't think I am actually humanly capable of moving again in this life or the next lol Re: Dollarz House...moved in...eyes popping out of head. 77May 04, 2010 3:07 pm I absolutely cannot wait to pack/unpack. I must be insane. Moving IS the pits!! Totally 100% agree. I enjoyed unpacking, and that was about it LOL viewtopic.php?f=31&t=22766 - my build thread! Time waits for no man. Unless that man is Chuck Norris. Re: Dollarz House...moved in...eyes popping out of head. 79May 05, 2010 2:43 pm Not only has the moving been exhausting but we are both sick. I've slowly started on the WIR and kitchen drawers as well as the linen. The rooms are slowly starting to get set up. Our lounge arrived last night and we started to assemble it! We are slowly getting there. Dining table and chairs are set up too just it all still looks a bit chaotic. Hopefully within the next 7 days things will start looking neater and we may even have pictures on the wall. Re: Dollarz House...moved in...eyes popping out of head. 80May 05, 2010 4:20 pm Don't worry to much about the state of your house Dollar as it all takes time.It does have one advantage as it's the only time when you have visitors that you don't worry that it looks like a bombs hit it It will all come together in time & look beautiful Hope your feeling better soon, Loretta Built The Jenmark with Cavalier Homes Macarthur. http://camdenacres.blogspot.com/ Thread - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=17870 We are in - front landscaping begins 1.
