No I didn't have to pay extra for the ceiling insulation (apparently the norm is R2.5) so that’s one good thing. I actually asked if I could have some blown into the walls and was told not only would it be unnecessarily costly, it would not make much difference. If I went to R5.0 in the ceiling it would be more beneficial however it is not needed for the climate I am in... as this is for houses in the snow! Lucky my builders have been very good at everything else they have done! I’m pretty sure themax that your insulation supplied by your builder is normal, thats why I was expecting the same... lucky you! Good idea about the extra in internal walls...
