Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 29, 2009 7:08 pm Has anyone put a urinal into their new home for the younger male members of the family with poor aim? Is this weird that I would even consider it? Re: Putting a urinal into a home bathroom 2Nov 29, 2009 7:29 pm Ummm, not personally no... Would you be able to face cleaning it...? At that age they should show some consideration and I would certainly not pander to their laziness by even thinking of installing a urinal. Gross!!! Re: Putting a urinal into a home bathroom 11Nov 29, 2009 8:11 pm Catjim, http://www.worboys.com.au/waterless-urinals if you're serious about it.... Otherwise, a year's supply of urinal cakes better be ready Re: Putting a urinal into a home bathroom 12Nov 29, 2009 8:51 pm I think it is a great idea for a house full of boys. Heaps less cleaning and nicer for those sitting to know it is much cleaner because the boys aren't "signing their names" on the seat or surrounding floor area. If I only had male children I would have seriously considered it. 2011 Home Sweet Home Handover 03 September 2010 PCI 27August 2010 Plumber 20August 2010 Electrician 19August 2010 Painting 04 August 2010 Cabinets 13Jul2010 Lockup 23June Frame 20April slab 1Mar10 Re: Putting a urinal into a home bathroom 13Nov 29, 2009 10:35 pm Neverfinished Perhaps it is time to hand over the bathroom cleaning duties to the grotty males who cannot be bothered to aim straight. Re: Putting a urinal into a home bathroom 14Dec 06, 2009 11:53 pm Ahh, a urinal in a home bathroom, I love it! Great idea. I was thinking about doing something along these lines as well, then I realised I had a back-fence! Good enough! Re: Putting a urinal into a home bathroom 15Dec 07, 2009 6:52 am Yuk....I have 2 boys , mine are 8 and 10 and even they know to clean up after themselves. Im sorry, but I dont think those in your family dont know how to 'aim' I think they have a serious lack of consideration for other people and are just plain rude! Would they do it at someone elses home? And for you to even entertain the thought of a URINAL for this reason!!??? And they all had to learn to aim. The thing about this type of pandering, is that someone else pays..... their future partners. It takes a long time to retrain a pandered to man. But if it was in an area to be used by guests, and female guests particularly, they'd find it pretty gross. I wouldn't be too keen on going to the toilet with a urinal next to me. I reckon a home with a small bathroom directly accessible from outside with a good wash basin, a shower and a dunny (or urinal) would be an excellent feature. That way, we can clean up or go to the loo before bringing all the crap inside.
