Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Go for Ducted vacuum or not? 22Jan 02, 2010 12:49 pm We have one in our current house. We got it put in about 10 years ago and we've never had a problem with it. I've changed brush heads....but that's about it. Totally love love love it. We got one for our new house as well and I got a vacpan for the kitchen which I am really looking forward to. Really regret not putting one in the master ensuite. I love how quiet it is when I vacumn. It's not silent...but a lot less quiet than a barrel vac. I love how it doesn't smell. My old barrel vac smelt when I vacumned and MIL's does too. I love not having to empty the bag regularly. We change our bag every 6-8 months. I love being able to vac the garage or car with the port that is on the actual vac machine in the garage. I love not having the barrel vac bumping into walls I love not having to retract the stupid power cord I love not having to plug and unplug the barrel vac into power points. Our current house doesn't have enough power points...so I would sometimes have to unplug something important to vac a room...it might be the alarm clock or a mobile that was charging. yes...a power board would solve that..... I love just having to store the hose and the bits n pieces which we will hang on the garage wall instead of finding room to store a vac Our building journey has begun: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=23138 Brookvale 45 by Porter Davis ************** Lead me not into temptation.....I can find the way myself.
