This would have been correct if we were in The Ponds, but unfortunately for them we are in Kellyville Ridge. I'm a little skeptical that reinforcing mesh was placed in the rest of the driveway too, as Tuesday night there were no scraps of mesh to be seen on site, whereas on Wednesday night (after the failed crossover), there were scraps everywhere. Re: Building an EB Memphis 31 - Driveway to be fixed 63Apr 16, 2010 10:33 am Ok, I understand. Do they have to make it go narrow at the bottom? I cant remember if you have round gutters or not. I was thinking it would be hard reversing down the driveway, down the slope and trying to keep on the driveway as it narrows. Maybe its just my crazy driving ( no comments about my rally driving Andy, I know you will read this ) Min Building at The Ponds Land reg 3/12/09, Land settled 18/12/09 Approved by Design Panel 16/11/09, Submitted to council 24/11/09, Approved by Council 21/1/10 Site Start 21/5/10 http://andyminpondsbuild.blogspot.com/ https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=19800 Re: Building an EB Memphis 31 - Driveway to be fixed 64Apr 16, 2010 10:40 am The width at the bottom is 4m wide I believe, so a little narrower than up the top. We do have those round gutters, so simple for reversing. It will be much better than our current driveway, very steep and goes from double to single quite quickly. Re: Building an EB Memphis 31 - Driveway to be fixed 65Apr 16, 2010 10:47 am Yep round gutters are better. We have them too. We were allowed a maximum driveway width of 5.5m (I think) so we can just run the sides of the driveway straight from the garage. Hope they get it sorted for you quickly. I love the Beige Chalk (looks like it's Wattyl colour range), it's so soft. Did you ever look at those moudlings EB stuck around your doors and windows externally? Are they made of cement? They give such distinction to EB houses, very smart of them to think of it (and probably for a tiny cost only). Looks like you can then paint it in any colour, how handy! The mouldings appear to be some type of plastic. They are a yellow/green colour when they go on originally. Beige Chalk is a nice colour. We are going to re-paint some of the rooms though (not sure what yet though). Re: Building an EB Memphis 31 - Driveway to be fixed 68Apr 19, 2010 6:02 pm Some updates on the blog below. Re: Building an EB Memphis 31 69May 02, 2010 11:37 am The rendering has now been finished (1 more coat of paint looks required though), and the driveway has been re-poured, with the paving to be done Tuesday. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_dYL3WYjGf88/S9zGOUVtBsI/AAAAAAAAAL8/XJ49i5pyuFs/s1600/IMG_1311.JPG Re: Building an EB Memphis 31 - Rendering Finished 71May 02, 2010 11:55 am Southies oooo just lovely ......totally my kind of facade Thanks. I quite like your colour choices too. Very similar style of bricks! Re: Building an EB Memphis 31 - Rendering Finished 73May 02, 2010 1:06 pm Looks Great MH. You must be getting very excited now plus very happy to be getting the probs sorted. I met one of my back door neighbours yesterday who lives in your street. He was telling me all the goss from your street. Mainly who was a bit tight with cash when it came to paying for fences. He was pretty funny. Are their any new inside pics? Have they given you a handover date yet? Have they given you a handover date yet? Min Hi andy_min, It is interesting people being tight paying for fences. They aren't that expensive compared to how much people have spent on their homes! No new inside pics - however it looks cleaned and I've been told the tiling has been fixed. I won't have time to go out until another couple of weeks. No idea on the handover date. It was indicated around 1 month ago that it would be around now, but I think 4 weeks away still. EB are arranging their inspection this week, but I noticed one thing on the exterior still outstanding when I compared our plans to our pictures, but it is probably only a 1 day job to finish it. When I think they are getting really close, I'll start packing! Re: Building an EB Memphis 31 - Rendering Finished 75May 17, 2010 7:23 pm We finally have a PCI date locked in, 26th May! My wife and I are very excited and hope we are in soon after that. Still a few things to fix up on the exterior, so I hope they are all done by the end of the week. Re: Building an EB Memphis 31 - PCI Date 26th May 76May 17, 2010 7:44 pm Congrats and good luck, Michael!! Did you also have a "preliminary" PCI (unofficial visit with SS) ?
