But its looking good.... I hope our little estate stays nice..... when the whole ''suburb'' is established over the next 2 years, it should be a win... Good luck with the rest of your build.... Medsey, We need to talk to the council and get some foot paths happening .. that will make the street alot better IMO. We would need to get everyone in that little area involved to partition the council but i think highly achieveable. We all pay squillions of dollars each year for rates!!!! did you guys have any issues with the developer when you were trying to purchase the land there? The buggers tried to sting us an extra few grand if settlement didnt occur by a given date, no matter if it was our fault or theirs. Subsequently we nipped that in the bud straight away Rossdale Homes "Houghton" Sovereign specification Re: Building Rossdale Homes "Houghton" - Adelaide 43Apr 18, 2010 12:30 pm ok things I would like achieved this week, Outside hopefully eaves installed Organise trencher for stormwater (Richard from dialadingo) quoting and recommended by friends in the area get stormwater pipes delivered and install Organise fence installation ASAP for after stormwater. The buggers tried to sting us an extra few grand if settlement didnt occur by a given date, no matter if it was our fault or theirs. Subsequently we nipped that in the bud straight away I agree.... i think the whole suburb is slated in for alot of works, ie waterproofing, paths, road upgrades etc....i guess it will just be a slow process..... no harm in a petition either i guess.... Maybe they are waiting for most of the estates and houses to be done first.... im just focusing on moving in first lol....sooooooooooo much to do.... I bought the land in march 09 and was lucky enough to get an extended settlement to june.... it was in the midst of the financial crisis and not much land was selling so it worked out good for us..... If we went over into july, they were upping the prices so yeah, we would of got stung.... but impossible to get a discount from them.... nothing...lol....i know some others that got no discounts too....full price or nothing..... ;o( Re: Building Rossdale Homes "Houghton" - Adelaide 47Apr 18, 2010 7:22 pm haha .. oh yeah they are definatly after the dollars. the land sales dudes were not much better .. we didnt have our full amended contract until 1 month before settlement. we signed it and then it come back with amendments by them and we had to reword the amendments because the way they had worded it ment that if they had have decided they couldnt be there for settlement on the day and pushed it out we would have been up for another 3k. is you place the fairmont one around the corner thats being built at the moment? LOVE the bath:) Re: Building Rossdale Homes "Houghton" - Adelaide 54Apr 19, 2010 3:05 pm One thing i did notice is there are no plugs. its all the push down click type .. so when you push it down it will lock and seal and when you push it down again it will pop up and the water is released. got to be happy with that .. we were ment to just get the standard plug type i thought Rossdale Homes "Houghton" Sovereign specification Re: Building Rossdale Homes "Houghton" - Adelaide 55Apr 19, 2010 8:58 pm hahaha isnt it amazing how excited we get about things like this Re: Building Rossdale Homes "Houghton" - Adelaide 57Apr 19, 2010 9:41 pm hoffdog yeah baby keep em coming. how good is that spa bath, pump up the bubbles its party time! haha .. that pump up the bubbles statement reminds me of when i was in the navy sharing a house in darwin with 4 other guys .. we had an inground pool out the back with a spa at one end .. one night we had a party and someone introduced a litre of Mr Matey into the pool .. filled the whole backyard upto a level of about 10 feet it was insane .. lol .. i think we could fill the ensuite with bubbles very easily Rossdale Homes "Houghton" Sovereign specification Re: Building Rossdale Homes "Houghton" - Adelaide 59Apr 19, 2010 9:50 pm Well being stuck at work tonight I think I might use the time wisely. After going through the house today and spending a bit of time there I am now going to start a list of things too do and defects that we have found, as well as things that are missing that should be there like powerpoints etc. so armed with a blank plan its time to go to work Rossdale Homes "Houghton" Sovereign specification Re: Building Rossdale Homes "Houghton" - Adelaide 60Apr 20, 2010 5:22 pm That does look like a very comfortable spa bath. hehe...the other day while no tradies were around, I crept into my spa bath just to feel how comfy it is, almost fell asleep End Feb 09-Deposit and paperwork Nov 09-Slab!
