Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 20, 2009 7:58 pm Well its been sprung on us that we need an extra wooden element to the frontage to meet developer requirements. (2 wooden elements, usually front door and windows but the windows have to be double glazed aluminium.. doh) I was thinking the wood/timber garage door option... anybody done this, and how much extra $ was it? Re: Timber/Wooden garage doors - How much $? 3Nov 20, 2009 10:45 pm Wow, thats not too bad. I was thinking in the thousands! They do look very good. Thats actual wood/timber - not the "timber look" ? That seems a bit much compared to the earlier poster here ($800). Can't help but think they never contacted the developer, and are just trying to fleece a bit more dough from me.. hmmm Old Home Restoration / Renovation To reduce noise transfer without compromising the aesthetic of your exposed I beams, consider filling the 100mm gap between the I beams and the floor above with dense,… 6 9156 It's a classic case of aesthetics subjugating function where style takes precedence over practicality. 3 3945 Engineering timber is certainly a less fuss option, times cheaper to supply and install and better withstands humidity. 1 15924 |
