Browse Forums Building A New House Re: We are at Hemlock Crescent, Point Cook 9Jul 18, 2007 6:54 pm I envy your situation sandy and I might be taking the path with PD seeing the non-existent customer service I am getting with Henley after putting down the deposit for the house.
sandydubes Hi Intoxocated, Great to know that you are building at Monterey Central and that to a Hamilton from PD. We are building in the Hemlock Release and the block is located on the Hemlock Crescent. The contract has been signed and now waiting for building permit. Schedule site start is September. We have gone for Urban Metro Facade, how about you? PM me and will share more details. Cheers, sd Re: Contract Signed - PD Point/Cook - Wonderful experience 10Jul 18, 2007 9:19 pm Well - I guess I must be the ultimate optimist. We signed with PD, cancelled (reasons on our blog), and we are about to head down the path with them again.
Pity their home designs are so damn good! Getting there...getting started...Permit received 11Aug 14, 2007 4:36 pm Hi,
It is proving to be a good month already. PD called a day back to confirm that the approval is received from the developer. Though it took a resubmission to get this approval, but I beleive that is because of the tough development guidelines at Monterey Central, Point Cook. More good news....PD called today to confirm that the building permit is received. The bank also confirmed the Loan for the building and will be signing the loan papers on Monday. I hope the construction now starts as planned in Sepetember. IS there anyone in the forum who beleives the house can be ready for handover before christmas for Sep site start. I know it is a tough job but just want to know if I am being rather optimistic. Cheers, sd Re: Contract Signed - PD Point/Cook - Wonderful experience 12Aug 14, 2007 4:58 pm I think PD guarantee 20 weeks completion on single storey so even if you began on September 1st you would be pushing it even if they run a couple of weeks early. We had a September start date but didn't actually start until the last week of September.
Good luck though, would be nice to be in for Christmas. Re: Contract Signed - PD Point/Cook - Wonderful experience 13Aug 14, 2007 6:13 pm sd,
The time it took you from signing up to actually signing the contract (2 months!!) is very very impressive indeed!! We're building with M* in Point Cook as well, put our deposit down in Jun'07, signed the contract early Dec'07 (5 mths) and we're having house handover last week. All together, almost 15 months from sign up to handover. I guess some builders need to really get their act together to reach the same level of customer service & satisfaction that PD obviously can achieve. Good luck with your building process. You talk about deletions, are they variations or PS and PC adjustments? pleas list them 1 16571 Building Standards; Getting It Right! Hi All, We have a fall from road to garage front.
