Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 16, 2009 11:57 pm Hi guys, So my slab was done today. Was just wondering what the next steps to follow are and how soon I should expect more work to commence on site? How long did other people's builders wait after finishing the slab before moving onto the next part? Thanks Re: Slab done - now what??? 2Nov 17, 2009 12:07 am It all depends on where you are!! If you're over East (Vic, NSW, QLD etc) then the next thing you'll get is the framing will start very very soon! Depending on how busy your builder is of course!! If your in WA, then nothing will get done for about 3 maybe 4 weeks as the builder waits for the slab to *cure* and set nicely. And then bricking will start!! So, where are you building?? And with who!!?? viewtopic.php?f=31&t=22766 - my build thread! Time waits for no man. Unless that man is Chuck Norris. Plus a shell of a house with stuff inside ! 9 24795 This is one of the reasons I decided to go overseas for my double glazed windows. As the builder indicated, he's worked on many upmarket builds, these were the most well… 13 19244 2 15465 |
