Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 14, 2009 4:57 pm Hi, I'm looking at building in the point cook area and i feel the agent is trying to give me some mis-information inorder to buy a house and land package rather than purchasing the land seperatly. Can you tell me what your slab was rated at, which estate you are in and an approximate site cost? Basically she is trying to create fear that my site costs *could be* up to $75k - which is *possible* but im guessing very unlikely Thank you Re: Point Cook: What was the rating for your slab? 2Nov 14, 2009 6:38 pm We recently bought land in Point Cook and on average the site costs seem to be around the $10,000 to $15,000 range. I think slabs range in the H - P class around Point Cook and Williams Landing, but obviously it will vary from area to area. $75,000 seems the worst case senario if you end up building on a block full of rocks and on the side of a hill/mountain! Re: Point Cook: What was the rating for your slab? 3Nov 14, 2009 7:04 pm We paid about $12,000 for fixed site costs in Point Cook - so I'd guess on average it is somewhere near that figure. $75,000 seems way over the top. 10 years ago was a different software than we use now. it has had a lot of changes over the past years.
