Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 11, 2009 3:56 pm hi all just commencing the building process through aussie living homes. this is my first property so its all very exciting and scary at the same time. i am building a simple 3x2 called the manly that i have modifyied up with high ceilings, double robes, improved kitchen etc. my block is only 390 sqm in new haven estate in piara waters (near canningvale). but the estate itself looks lovely and the block is rectangle so no weird shaped block to deal with so anyone have any advice on a few areas any building tips prestart tips - things i should add? building process - tips for things too look out for?/ how long sould it take to get in (titles out in march) unexpected costs? what lawn is best (i want it to stay nice and green and feel good without too much maintenance) any other tips would be awesome!! also would be great to meet others building close by. always up for making new friends When times get tough build a house...Our second build Re: anyone building with aussie living/or in new haven? 2Nov 11, 2009 4:04 pm Welcome Sharky55_Shan!! I'm building with Aussie as well (as is Annie.S too) and so far have not had any issues with them Fingers crossed it stays that way LOL The Manly is a lovely plan I am building the Sensation, which is a variation of The Location. I don't have much advice, except for READ EVERYTHING A MILLION TIMES!!!! So you don't miss anything And check your electricals too, as apparently they can get expensive with add-ons.
