Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 08, 2009 8:12 pm hi all we are getting solid timber floors and we want to raise the level of the bedrooms so that when we lay the carpet it will be to the same level as the floors - which will be about 28mm above the slab. carpet is about 5mm and the underlay is 10... so i need to add an additional 13mm to make my dream happen. we have been told the easiest way would be to get the tiler to screed the areas where there will be carpet... so... any ideas on how much this will cost per square metre?
