Here is the dumbest question in this thread. What are "site costs" exactly? Jezz Also, the cost for water, electricity, ...etc connection also counted. If you land wasn't level, the most expensive part is normally the cut and fill... If the builder need to bring in lots of soil to level the land (lots of fills), they are quite expensive... Those two posts have really helped me with a lot of my confusion. So site costs would not include such exepnses as plumbing and electrical for the house itself? Just preparation of the block of land. We are so keen but unfortunately it doesn't look like we'll be able to get a block for under $250,000, which, when you add the site costs, makes the whole thing just too expensive.. *sigh* back to trying to buy something!
