Hi,
Firstly apologies I know tehre is no such thing as a stupid questions just stuid people of which I feel like I am one! (ehehe)
Stumbled across this site whilst planning the building of what will iniditally be an investment property in perth. Being located the other side of the country I am finding a few questions difficult to get a straight answer on and was hoping I could tap into some of the expertise here.
In melbourne there are a some builders that cover site costs within the house price, from memory (it was 5 yrs ago we last built) they do this by charging everyone a flat fee amount regardless of their site which goes into a pool that gets tapped into should they encounter rocks etc. This means that through these builders everyone has slightly higher costs but there are no hidden surprises (like have to find 30k to clear rocks).
Is there a similar scheme in perth? I have seen some reported site costs on this forum that make me a little nervouse.
What would an average range for site costs be in perth, a lot of buildes seem to offer water, survey costs etc as included so I gues I am referringto costs ontop of these?
Being a typical victorian I am not partial to the warmer weather, would evaporative cooling be sufficient or should I be considering refrigrated (I realise this is very subjective to people opions)
Has any one gone down the polished concrete flooring path with the "bigger" builders?
Thanks
