Meaning they will have to repaint the whole house and replace the carpets, setting us back a few weeks. The upside according to him is that we should have very well painted walls with 3 or 4 coats. So annoying as we were getting all ready to move in, now we will have to do it in early August when we get back from holidays Re: Building a Liana - *PCI Delayed :(* 124Jul 22, 2010 9:28 pm OMG How did I miss this update?!? Such the worst of luck when everything was looking and going really good. Aay further news yet? NO EXPECTATIONS, NO DISAPPOINTMENTS! There were some issues I was really not very hapy about particularly some of the tiles were not flat and sticking up pretty bad, very anooying since the floor was the most expensive part of the house :/ I was assured however that it would be fixed to within "Australian building specification" which is apparently 1mm rise is the max allowed. Lots of other litle thing I mentioned months ago still hadn't been fixed. I hope the Quality inspector or whoever he said was meant to do a inspection picks up on a lot of things as it seems that that is the only way the SS will get anything fixed. We have booked a new PCI for the day we get back so hopefully everything is ok or we will be homeless about a week later. Re: Building a Liana - *PCI Delayed :(* 126Jul 24, 2010 8:57 am Good luck with your PCI. I cant believe what people did to your home Stupid kids no doubt. Do these immature brats realise that they themselves will never be able to afford to build a house? No wonder builders up their prices, to cover stupid things like this. I hope those brats are shacked up til old age with their parents!!! Re: Building a Liana - *PCI Delayed :(* 127Aug 10, 2010 2:07 pm All moved in, finally. There a stills ome bits and pieces missing like a rangehood, fly screens, water tanks and heating! Overall we are pretty happy, sure if you look hard enough there are lots of imperfections but things that you wont notice after a while. Pics when everything is clean and sorted out. Cant wait to see pics Re: Building a Liana - Moved in! 132Aug 12, 2010 8:49 am Thanks everyone. So much to do still, just managed to clear out the garage yesterday so we could fit both cars in it. Also they got my heating sorted out which was nice. But I have just notice that our main bathroom shower is leaking, and we have been using it because our ensuite shower is leaking (they say becasue of the blocked drain). Starting to think there is a problem with the waterproofing. Am going to ring today to see if we can get it sorted out. Re: Building a Liana - Moved in! 133Aug 14, 2010 9:02 pm Well the ensuite shower is fixed, just from the drain being unblocked, water must have been reaching over the waterproofing. The other shower however, apparently stegbar didnt install the screen properly, so it has to be taken off and redone. Still no rangehood, flyscreens or water tanks yet. Re: Building a Liana - Moved in! 134Aug 14, 2010 9:05 pm Ah teething problems. Hopefully you have no major issues. Very impressed you got BOTH cars in the garage... I look forward to the day we can fit just one of ours! Still cant wait to see pics of your beautiful home Re: Building a Liana - Moved in! 136Aug 14, 2010 11:14 pm oh wow both ars in?? we've been here 3 months and both cars are still outside I blame it on all the kids play stuff that we've had no yard for, so one the deck is done i guess i have no excuse we have issues with the waterproofing around our ensuite shower too, 3month hek up is soon so its on the list. oh and our solar panels are broken but new ones are oming out this week. not toooooo many things we've found are bad, but there are a few.... Hi cazoraz, just a word of warning with your 3MM reporting. If you have water issues, don't wait too long for attention to the waterproofing issue. Whilst they attend site pretty soon after your 3MM Form submission, it took a further three months for them to actually get on site to rectify the issues in our case. So, if you have a water leak, it could be leaking for 6 months before you get any rectification. Love the simplicity yet so effective of all the colours. Must ask, how are you finding your tiles? I have similar porcelain tiles and they do my head in Confused Renovator Joe, it depends on your certifier but we are noticing the ones we deal with are really cracking down. So i would recommend you follow your approved landscaping plans to… 4 10961 Hi Simeon, Thank you for laying it down for us. Makes sense. Appreciate it very much. Have a nice day. Cheers 2 9003 |
