Just with a bigger shower in the ensuite, a door on the toilet, door to garage relocated, double cavity sliding to study/4th bedroom and some changes to windows. Only thing he has left off is the double front doors. Re: Building a Liana 2Nov 07, 2009 12:32 pm Hi Mark Love the plans, the big outdoor area off the alfresco will be nice and private. Have you done all your colour selectiosn and everything yet? We're due to start our build with 'S' in a few weeks, end of November, so only a few weeks different from you. I've got a thread on here with all my plans etc viewtopic.php?f=31&t=23660 and a blog also: http://cazoraz.blogspot.com Good luck with your build, hope it goes smoothly and starts soon!! We have visited the Simonds gallery and are pretty happy with the standard inclusions, like the taps etc are all good quality and are mixers etc. Re: Building a Liana 5Nov 08, 2009 5:55 am Thanks guys. Caz are you on the promotion where you get 30g worth of upgrades? We were pretty happy that most of the upgrades were useful upgrades that we wanted to do anyway. We went with: Water tanks Tiled shower bases Bigger shower in ensuit overhead cupboards in kitchen and laundry proper laminex cupboards in laundry Evaporative airconditioning 900mm underbench oven, cooktop, glass rangehood external venting to rangehood glass splashback to kitchen sectional lift-up garage door frameless ensuite shower and bathroom shower Shower niches Pot drawers Caesarstone bench tops with waterfall edges and 65mm thick lip And lots of others I can't think of at the moment Re: Building a Liana 7Nov 08, 2009 8:12 am MarkJ Thanks guys. You can actually change your promo package at the colour selection too, so if you decide on something else you can take stuff out and add new stuff in which is very handy. I changed a lot of mine on the day Caz & Co ALL MOVED IN!! Now comes all the hard work-decorating.... Also got the driveway, my wife wanted a exposed aggregate but they said they don't do that. Can't wait for the colour selection although I can feel that it might be a mixture of fun and painful at the same time Re: Building a Liana 9Nov 08, 2009 9:40 am We absolutely LOVE the Liana!!! Unfortunately the house was too wide to fit on our block We love everything about the floor plan, as we love to entertain. Gorgeous house! Looking forward to following your build Re: Building a Liana 10Nov 08, 2009 9:53 am It's a beautiful house, and I'm with Erin, LOVE the outdoor area. I fell in love with the Mernda display with the awesome pool.... *sigh* Pity the house wasn't right for us; not enough bedrooms (or should that be too many kids? ) plus a couple of other things were NQR. The master suite is just gorgeous - love the big ensuite! I'm looking forward to seeing photos of your build. Re: Building a Liana 11Nov 08, 2009 10:01 am Thanks guys, we are building the 2900 as it is the one that will fit on the block, was thinking of the 3100 as it had the theatre room but sadly it didnt fit. I guess with the study being able to be another bedroom it works out a bit better. We were hoinh to build a pretty big PD house originally, but really we dont have any kids and just one small dog so a bigger house is a bit overkill, this is going to be plenty big enough for many years to come I hope. I don't think I have seen the Mernda one, there was one in Berwick and it had the pool that was like a beach, was pretty cool. The Mernda one was the same. My youngest loved the beach, thought it was the best thing EVER. He's seriously disappointed that we don't have one. Re: Building a Liana 13Nov 08, 2009 10:32 am We are going to go with the Tarneit Fascade http://i627.photobucket.com/albums/tt354/MarkZed/TarneitFacade.jpg Re: Building a Liana 14Nov 08, 2009 12:10 pm Gorgeous plan Mark. Good luck and look forward to following your progress. Any idea when they will start building? Re: Building a Liana 17Nov 17, 2009 3:45 pm We are building in Berwick. Just finished our colour selection and electrical appointment. The person doing our colours was new so it was a bit more difficult then it should have beeen but she was nice enough and hopefully everything will get sorted out ok. Electrical appointment lady was also good and very helpful. Here are some of our colour choices: Bricks: Nougat Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Roof: Barramundi Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Kitchen Bench Tops: Ice Snow Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Spent a bucket load on downlights etc, overall pretty happy just got to sort some stuff out about having front windows in wood and they have no put double doors in our drawings. Re: Building a Liana - Colour selection complete 18Dec 01, 2009 2:12 am Just a update, we went and signed our building contract today and our land should settle any day now, so its all moving ahead ok. We had to change the way the house sat on the block a bit meaning that there is less distance between the alfresco area and the boundary and there is another 2 meters on the other side of the house. I tried to fight this one as I would prefer it the other way around but sadly apparently it would be almost impossible to manouvre a car into the garage. Otherwise everything else was great, we fixed up a few oversights and mistakes in the contract and they were very helpful. We were impressed by how detailed they are in the contracts and drawings. Hopefully this will mean that everything goes smoothly. We had almost the exact same thing happen with our plans and how the house sit on the block - had to flip the front of the house around otherwise we couldn't manouver into the garage either. Means I have an extra couple of metres down teh dead fence side of the house but still have all my living areas opening up onto the yard so that's ok. We are just going to put our water tank and garden shed down the dead side of the house when we get around to getting them so they're hidden away and the space is not totally wasted. Have you got your final drawings? Let me see!! Caz & Co ALL MOVED IN!! Now comes all the hard work-decorating.... Yeah I decided I would just have to get a long slim shed to go down the side of the house. My wife probably enjoyed decking out her kitchen the most, as you can see from the plans she has 60mm edges on all her caeserstone benches with waterfalls on the island and one end of the other bench, full compliment of overhead cupboards with 900mm oven cooktop and glass rangehood. Also has a glass splashback and all the cupboards are finished in 2pac hi gloss. They got the ceiling height wrong in the elevation, we are just having standard height ceilings. We couldn't have double doors like we originalyl wanted cos they didn't fit so we got a large pivot door like you see on some of the display homes. Joe, it depends on your certifier but we are noticing the ones we deal with are really cracking down. So i would recommend you follow your approved landscaping plans to… 4 10920 Hi Simeon, Thank you for laying it down for us. Makes sense. Appreciate it very much. Have a nice day.
