What sort of colours are you going for? Greys? I love that look, even though we are going with browns . So pleased the titles are all sorted out - hopefully that means it won't be too long until your build starts Re: The Osprey Build (DA - in Wattle Grove, WA) - We're Titl 25Mar 03, 2010 6:44 pm Ok - here we go with some of the selections we made on Saturday: Kitchen Underbench Cabinets Polytec Classic White Vinyl Wrap Cupboards Kitchen Overhead Cupboards Laminex Burnished Wood Kitchen Benches Caesarstone Snow Bathroom/Laundry/Ensuite Vanities Laminex Blackened Linewood Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Bathroom/Ensuite Benchtops Caesarstone Osprey Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Shower Feature Tiles Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Feature Tiles above Bathroom/Ensuite/Laundry vanity cupboards (laid on top of one row of the white wall tiles) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Wall tiles in the bathroom/ensuite/laundry are 200x400 gloss white tiles For the floor we have chosen a stone grey 330x330mm tile. Love your elevation and plan too!! Woohoo to those titles coming through finally, can't believe your's, mine and dilla's all came through around the same time PB Re: The Osprey Build (DA - in Wattle Grove, WA) - We're Titl 31Mar 16, 2010 8:07 pm Any news on *dare I say it* SETTLEMENT????? Re: The Osprey Build (DA - in Wattle Grove, WA) - We're Titl 32Mar 16, 2010 8:52 pm Was just lurking around for settlement news as well... did it happen???? Re: The Osprey Build (DA - WA) - Settled and Prestart Comple 33Mar 18, 2010 12:40 pm Well funny thing happened on our way to our pre-start meeting yesterday. We rang the settlement agent to see whether settlement had gone through OK the previous day. Ha - her reply was, no settlement was scheduled for yesterday at 12.15!! Thought it was strange they hadn't called to confirm. We got the call after lunch that settlement had gone through without a hitch. So we (well technically the bank) have land!! Pre-start was great. We made quite a few changes to the kitchen and bathroom/ensuite vanities and have got some quotes for extras such as glosswood lining for the alfresco etc. Now just waiting for some costings to come back and then the hard decisions on what will go in and what won't will need to be made. All in all it was enjoyable. I'm now getting excited. Must have been something in the stars yesterday - settlement and pre-start was obviously meant to take place on the same day. I'm still waiting.... Did you end up changing the doors under the kitchen island?? Preliminary agreement 23/11 Contract 22/03 Prestart 06/04 - finalised on 30/04 Unconditional approval 10/05 Demolition 05/07 Slab 26/08 Brickwork 13/09-06/10 Roof frame started 07/10 viewtopic.php?f=31&t=32292 Re: The Osprey Build (DA - WA) - Settled and Prestart Comple 35Mar 18, 2010 1:14 pm Hi Bagheera Yes changed all cupboards either side of oven to drawers - 4 banks of 3 drawers and a pot drawer under the oven. Then on the island bench I changed one of the cupboards to a microwave shelf and pot drawer and inserted a bin cupboard. I didn't go with the pull out kitchen bin as I just didn't have the room but pleased to say I have a double cupboard, pull out laundry bin and bench in the laundry. I've gone with vinyl wrap Polytec (classic white) for all underbench cupboards/drawers and stuck with the burnished wood laminex for the front of the island bench and overhead cupboards. Have you had pre-start booked as yet? Waiting is just the pits hey - something we all have to do at varying stages of the building journey. Sorry, I didn't really take note of too many items which were quoted verbally yesterday. Costings on pre-start items won't be through till sometime next week. I think for kitchen cupboards, change to vanities, tiling etc - we will all be up for different costings anyway. I would say look at as many near finished houses on H1 as you can, and then spend lots of time out at the DA Selection Centre, tile shops, Laminex show rooms etc - well before pre-start. We were fairly organised and yet our pre-start still took 5 hours. In a way I can't wait to go to pre-start - I have a "nice" list of upgrades and some of the items have question marks as we don't even know if they do them - e.g. I want caeser stone vanity benchtops with 200mm fascia so I can have semi-recessed basins... BTW did any of you get a spa bath?? I only saw 1 type at their display centre but I'm assuming that's not the only one they supply. The one they display is a fairly large one - I think it's double size...
