Re: Who else here, started their build in July 2009? 26Oct 30, 2009 12:45 pm Our site was cut on June 18th and our slab was poured on July 6th. Ours is a single storey 40sq. We are painted and tiled and had electrical fit off. Shower screens, mirrors, plumbing fit off and other fit offs (door handles, etc) will start on Monday. Yes Monday, they are working before Cup Day. My SS just told me we will have handover in the first week of December. A little later than first projected, but we have had some hold-ups with some cabinetry fix-ups and an impossible to track down tap mixer of all things. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. How have you found it so far? PFM, I'm pretty happy with everything. We've had very little done the last two weeks but that's no big deal. A lot will happen in the next few weeks. We've had some issues: pretty big problem with a beam early on and lots of minor ones.... but they all get fixed. Our house is by no means perfect... we have some not quite perfect walls , but nothing that is actually worth worrying about. I am not too concerned with handover running late, as long as we are in for Christmas. I will have to do the school run from Wallan to Kensington once we move.... 100k round trip twice a day. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Who else here, started their build in July 2009? 34Oct 30, 2009 1:23 pm Hi pinkfairymagic, Our slab was laid on the 17th of July and its a 33 square home. We are currently at the final fit off stage, and to date there hasn't any major issues. We are booked in for a PCI on 20th nov and handover a week later. Re: Who else here, started their build in July 2009? 35Oct 30, 2009 8:23 pm I hate you all My slab was 7th of May, and I am still not in, but very very close.
