Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 28, 2009 7:48 pm Because of the shape of our block, we have a really big nature strip. The developers/council/someone has planted 3 trees on the nature strip, but are we responsible for planting grass/putting pebbles down etc? Also, who has to pay for the crossover for the driveway? Re: who is meant to landscape the nature strip? 2Oct 28, 2009 9:05 pm If there is one thing you'll learn, everything that costs money, you will have to pay for. Bites, doesn't it? I thought about not turfing the nature strip, but that dog jus' ain' goin' hunt. Re: who is meant to landscape the nature strip? 4Oct 28, 2009 9:43 pm I noticed today that the developers put turf and tree to our nature strip (bricking to commence this week). I asked the building if they would destroy the grass in the building process and he said that unfortunately yes.... which can be seen from the other houses built in the area during earlier stages... waste of money.... Re: who is meant to landscape the nature strip? 5Oct 28, 2009 10:02 pm thanks for the info guys. *sigh* it never ends does it! Re: who is meant to landscape the nature strip? 6Oct 28, 2009 10:10 pm You have to pay for the crossover, and council has to maintain the nature strip. Mine was recked by the large trucks getting bogged, so I have large tyre sink holes in my nature stip. Re: who is meant to landscape the nature strip? 7Oct 29, 2009 5:31 am It depends on the council and developer. Our developer did all the nature strips along with street construction, and once housse construction was complete, they came back and levelled the ground/re-sowed grass seed or laid turf to make it all pretty. They also mowed them up until recently. Seems the party's over now though. Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone has switched from a small square tile insert or normal square waste to a strip drain at all, and if so did the plumber or diy-er… 0 13138 Landscape Design Parramatta We have been doing a large amount of landscape design work in Sydney… 0 3 |
