Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 28, 2009 3:06 pm Hi there, We have recently signed contracts with JG King and were advised only after we signed can they get builders risk insurance for the build of the home and then once they completed that, then obtain council permits. Can someone please advise whether this is the normal process or should they have obtained this before we signed? Also it has been 1 and half weeks and still no insurance when they said it should only take 2/3 days for insurance and then a couple of weeks for council permits. Does this sound normal?
