Me too. Life's too short too drink bad wine Re: Internal Doors 24Oct 29, 2009 2:28 pm I am exactly the same as Joles. Plain flush doors here painted the same as the walls. They are not a feature so are meant to blend in. We have enough other items being the focus of the room then the doors. Some things are worth waiting for. I would have gone plain flush doors if we had've kept the plain flush skirting board, but now our skirting board profile is very similar to the doors - so it works quite well inmho. Re: Internal Doors 26Oct 29, 2009 5:24 pm We've gone plain flush but raised height to 2340. We originally picked a different corinthian doorhttp://www.doors.com.au/Product/Default.aspx?FormAction=ShowRange&ItemId=20 and our upgrades were in the vicinity of $5,000. Now the upgraded height has only cost around $1300 - Happy to be spending the extra $3700 on other things. 2011 Home Sweet Home Handover 03 September 2010 PCI 27August 2010 Plumber 20August 2010 Electrician 19August 2010 Painting 04 August 2010 Cabinets 13Jul2010 Lockup 23June Frame 20April slab 1Mar10 Okay, then the choice is really about the build quality of the door itself which means the brand name. Sorry I can't recommend one or the other so best to rely on comments… 5 3353 Thanks. Yeh ideally that would have been good, but have progressed too far now. Hoping some well placed internal walls fixed up into the battens will provide some… 2 5551 Thank you alexp79 and gommeqld for your advice, that's very helpful, thanks 3 8099 |
