Browse Forums Building A New House Re: camyperths house: AND WE HAVE LAWN 2141Mar 01, 2011 10:21 am Well this landscaping experence has put me of for life I think Hubby just doesnt have time to do things like this anymore, plus we are getting to old for all of this BUT ..... Really pick the wrong guy for the job, we are now into week 3 (4 if you include the 1st week he didnt turn up), he has taken up pavers and relaid them, (no sand used), used left over pavers for lawn edging, put in retic (which now he cant get going) and nearly finished a deck, which he needs about 3 more planks, screws only on 1 side and no more in sight, It is suppose to be oiled and we still have to get our grass. He now says he needs an advance on the money still owing, but we cant see where the money we have already payed him has gone, considering it was suppose to be for matrails HAD ENOUGH!!!!!!! Hubby has a mini cooper s which the aircon doesnt work, he took it in yesterday to be fixed and they rang him to tell him it would cost $2600 for aircon, something else to fix remote on the door and something else for a power steering pump (which a new was put in 2yrs ago) all up just under $4000, so he said no and had to pay $200 for an inspection and car wash Just hope the landscaper finishes by Friday, we have all of next week off and if he is still here, wwwell it will be world war 3 here with hubby home My building thread viewtopic.php?f=1&t=25279 NEARLY DONE. Sorry to read about your landscaper & the patio upsets, hope it all gets sorted. Not much news on our home, going through all the paperwork ,boy oh boy, what fun that is. Trying to go through all the prices etc, price has gone up $12,000 so we are working through whats going on. They have set the house out wrong, moved it back 8mtres from the front of the building envolope . Has to be moved back coz that takes abit away from the backyard & interfers with our pool etc plans. Quick question, did you have any downlights put in through them or is it cheaper to have them done after Also are you still happy with the build etc or has things popped up that you never saw before. cheers K.A Ps love the green, green lawn!
