Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Jason's Bachelor Pad (Sirocco 7) - Floor Plan to Completion 2Oct 24, 2009 11:45 am It's a bit hard to see the fine details, but it looks great! My DH would be jealous of the 3 car garage Re: Jason's Bachelor Pad (Sirocco 7) - Floor Plan to Completion 3Oct 24, 2009 12:25 pm Ha ha, ..... Yeah the third Garage is actually a workshop area and where my jet ski will go(notice the smaller roller door). Once I master the art of posting pics on here hopefully the quality will improve. Will post some pics up tomorrow of my block. I have one small suggestion though... if it's not too late to change. I'd play around with the laundry and have access from the garage. We also have a workshop in the garage and our is like this.... will be great for clean-up after tinkering with motorbikes/cars. Our laundry trough also backs on to the garage wall so that at a later date (i.e. when funds allow ) we can put the trough in the garage and tap into the existing hot/cold water and waste pipe. Plumber told me it was a "piece of p1ss". Also, do you have rear access from your garage... for lawnmower, gardening stuff etc? I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. I too agree with Joles about the internal access from the garage. Also did you consider a powder room? You would find it would come in handy with entertaining etc. That way guests wouldn't have to use the main bathroom or ensuite. I don't know if you have kids but the main bathroom with the toilet included, could become a problem in the future. Just my two cents Congrats and good luck Re: Jason's Bachelor Pad (Sirocco 7) - Pics posted here! 9Oct 25, 2009 8:19 pm Plans look great Jason. The outside BBQ will be the best place to spend the summer. Is it the same as the display home. What facade are you having. Can't wait to do drive bys while it is been built. Looking forward to seeing more Re: Jason's Bachelor Pad (Sirocco 7) - Pics posted here! 11Oct 29, 2009 6:55 am R and R - yeah it is the same design as the display with some minor modifications in materials, for example where masterton use blueboard in the alfresco I will be using my brick selection. I will look forward to sitting in my alfresco in the summer time.Hopefully I will see some movement on my block soon ( my file was submitted to construction 22nd October) Walker79 & Joles - Yeah I did consider a rear access to my garage but I am planning to build a garage/shed in my back yardout of the same materials i am using for my home. I have a corner block so will have a side access to my property. Never thought about a powder room!? Aaron4Erin - Yeah that was the main influence in my decision to purchase this design, I like the open plan living and entertainment features. Stay tuned hope to have some more pics up soon. cheers jas Re: Jason's Bachelor Pad (Sirocco 7) - Pics posted here! 12Oct 29, 2009 1:57 pm jasche77 Walker79 & Joles - Yeah I did consider a rear access to my garage but I am planning to build a garage/shed in my back yardout of the same materials i am using for my home. I have a corner block so will have a side access to my property That's fair enough but I actually meant internal access to your house. So, how do you get into the house from your garage? Only the front or back door? Re: Jason's Bachelor Pad (Sirocco 7) - Pics posted here! 13Oct 29, 2009 3:40 pm Good Luck! Plans look great! Re: Jason's Bachelor Pad (Sirocco 7) - Pics posted here! 14Oct 29, 2009 4:12 pm That's a fantastic looking plan! Like D & SG, I will have to hide this thread from my partner- he just about gets tears in his eyes every time we drive past a triple garage! We wanted it but the builder said it wasn't possible. That made one fully grown man very upset indeed. Best of luck with the pad- it's gonna look awesome! Only the front or back door? The house does have an internal access door adjacent to the front main entry door....its just hard to see on my scanned plan in this thread . Im working on another that is a little larger and can be more clearly viewed.
