Who's building here? 26Nov 22, 2009 7:52 pm I'm really happy to hear that!!! I just hope they do a clean up of it, some weeks it looks like a rubbish tip! I'd hate to see all the remaining farm land chewed up Re: MANHATTAN PLACE, Tarneit ... Who's building here? 27Jan 20, 2010 11:42 am Hi We have bought in Trinity place in stage 4 at Manhattan place. (Back in April of last year!!!) The land was meant to be titled in April but they have pushed it out to at least Mid June. They are in disputes with the farmer in regards to drainage. Have been advised that they are still on track for June titles. I am not holding my breath!!!!!! If anyone has any further infomation it would be greatly welcomed. For any potential buyers to the estate, we have had our soil test done and no main issues found. It is not just the rocks you have to worry about it is the soft ground. I look forward to hearing from you all. Cheers Jodie Re: MANHATTAN PLACE, Tarneit ... Who's building here? 28Jan 20, 2010 11:53 am Hello Jodie i am supprised to here that you have your soil test already, i didnt thing you could do that untill after titles had been done when i was last down there there were still a few blocks availiable in Trinity Place, were abouts is your block have you decided on a builder & if so who are you useing cheers rocket Re: MANHATTAN PLACE, Tarneit ... There are disputes with the neighbour in regards to easements and drainage. Stage 4 was meant to settle in April but we have been recently advised that at this stage there is no settlement date. We purchased our land last April and at this stage still have no date!!!!! It is a great area!! Jodie Re: MANHATTAN PLACE, Tarneit ... Cheers jodie Hi Jodie, We settled in April last year, just waiting on final plans to be done & building permits etc. We've been delayed though which has frustrated us. but looks like we are finally making some slow progress. Frogger, where are you? We were down there last weekend to look at the neighbours progress! We are one of the 2 remaining vacant blocks in Hester st. Danielle & Shane @ Manhattan Place. Re: MANHATTAN PLACE, Tarneit ... Who's building here? 36Feb 19, 2010 3:46 pm Hi Danielle, I'm over a bit, in the Moorookyle Estate. No one on here it would seem is building in Moorookyle lol So I joined the Manhattan place thread lol I was known on here last year as "Eljay" I had to change my name, because I was being watched by someone who is building with my builder and they were telling them everything I was saying! Manhattan and Moorookyle are really nice areas. Except for this guy that thinks he owns the road and has nearly run me off the road twice!! Re: MANHATTAN PLACE, Tarneit ... Who's building here? 38Feb 20, 2010 2:12 pm Hi, We have brought in Hester st in stage 4 at Manhattan place. I called Jess the sales girl last week and asked if she knew what was going on with the stage as no work has started, she gave me a phone number for a solicitor as she could not give me any information. After speaking to the solicitor he advised that they are still in court with the farmer next door and they have no idea when the issue will be resolved apparently we should all receive letters in the next few weeks giving us the option to wait or to take our money and run.... doesn't look good!!! He did say it will be released but when who know great for people like us who have sold our house and are now renting oh and he did advise not to sign any contacts with builders until they know more to late for us too as we have signed up with our builder so we could of started building when the land was going to be released in April to June. We just can't wait until this is all resolved we just want to start building and move into our dream home. Cheers Re: MANHATTAN PLACE, Tarneit ... Thats what caused all this to blow up..over square basins lol Malrose> I had heard the farmer has kicked up about the road development etc, but I had no idea he was the cause of the land delay. I was going to buy in stage 4 but then the block that I'm building on now came up (I had been hoping it would fall through for 2 months and it finally did), so I changed my mind and bought the block in Moorookyle. It wasn't that much smaller (610sq) for under $160k so I couldn't complain. I really hope for all your sakes, this sorts itself out asap. I know what kind of trouble I would be in right now if I was in your shoes!!!! Good luck!! Re: MANHATTAN PLACE, Tarneit ... Hi we are in the same position. We have bought in trinity place . We are going to wait to see what happens, the only thing I am concerned about is the clause in the contract regarding the option by either party to dilsolve the contract if the land is not settled by October (18months from signing). I have also spoken to Brian ( the solicitor). If you want to chat off this site my email is jodief_@hotmail.com cheers Jodie We just can't wait until this is all resolved we just want to start building and move into our dream home.
