Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 23, 2009 7:26 pm No, don't worry.... not building again. A mate of mine and his girlfriend are looking at building..... in his words, they are complete noobs! He told me his requirements and plans he's been looking at, and I showed him this plan.... he is in love. I'm just wondering if anyone knows the base price and also, those of you that have/are building it.... how much in extras approx if you feel comfortable sharing?? (I know that is an intrusive question... didn't want to put any of the Santorini builders on the spot by PMing them.) Also....... land in Doreen.... 700m to 800m... price?? He wants a ballpark before he goes to a display.... he has a feeling that once they see it in person they will forget their budget. Thanks everyone. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: M3tr1con Santorini 26.... and land in Doreen 2Oct 23, 2009 11:25 pm Hey Joles, Im building the Santorini 26 and my base price was $165k, however that was back in November last year! The last price list I looked at was dated june or july 2009 and the base price was $174900 ( I think). I added approx $51k worth of extras but took advantage of a $16k promo that they had back then so really only paid $35k or so extra. I think they have different promo's now with better offers. The extra's were little luxuries like caesar stone bench tops, glass splashback, upgraded door and basins, tile shower bases etc etc, the kinda of stuff you can leave out if trying to stick to a budget! But I couldn't resist Not sure about land prices in Doreen though. Hope this helps Building: Santorini 26 with M*tricon Where:VIC Site Cut 29/09/09 Slab Complete 09/10/09 Frame Complete 22/10/09 LockUp Complete 17/11/09 Fixing Complete 03/12/09 **My Thread:[/i] viewtopic.php?f=31&t=23110 Re: M3tr1con Santorini 26.... and land in Doreen 3Oct 24, 2009 12:30 am The base price for the Santorini 26 in Regional Victoria two months ago was $198,700. I have a feeling this might be about $10-20K above metro prices? Mind you we have some extra standard inclusions (cooling, etc). I also heard two weeks ago that prices were going up again... Re: M3tr1con Santorini 26.... and land in Doreen 4Oct 24, 2009 11:32 am If they go with the 26 make sure they push the main bedroom out which is an option.....gives a bit more room. We are going with the 29 kingston facacde and base price for that here is $209,000. We are up to about $280,000 so far with extra's. I was wondering how on earth could a 26 square home be that much?? Jo there a quite a few Carlisle and PD designs that might be worth considering. For example Foxley (PD) and Westbury (Carlisle). Oh and Henley, really good floorplans and value there. I think with the base price for the Santorini, they wont find the good inclusions as they would with other builders.. unless they take the promo? Re: M3tr1con Santorini 26.... and land in Doreen 11Oct 24, 2009 10:20 pm joles I'm pretty familiar with floorplans and inclusions S&P. I forgot..youre the display home rememberer queen!!
