Sucks as I went there to see the old one

Sucks as I went there to see the old one I know! But in a way that's good because perhaps people will be less likely to build your home in this area, therefore increasing the 'specialness' of your place Went to see the new Henley display yesterday. Very disappointing. You know how normally the display homes each have a really unique look/feel? ? ? Even if it's not 'your style' it's still good that one has a blue theme, and one an Asian theme, and the next one a modern theme.... so you can tell them apart! Well the new Henleys are all decorated the same! All really dark colours; lots of terracotta and brown, all with exactly the same lights, all with exactly the same tribal decor in every one of the eight houses. It's hard to remember at the end of it which ones you liked and which you didn't because they all melted into the same 'theme.' Interestingly, on the way out, we heard a woman complaining about this to the sales assistant and she said, "we have had that feedback from a lot of people. Everybody has been saying there's a lot of dark colours and they all look the same." Me thinks they have been done in a bit of a hurry! Re: M3tr1con Santorini 26.... and land in Doreen 24Oct 26, 2009 11:32 am Thanks for the reply's guys and thanks Joels for setting this thread up. I'm the 'noob' in question. Went and had a look at some of the display homes in Mernda and Doreen on the weekend. Still thought the Santorini was one of the better ones. We have opted to go for the 29 as even after decking it out we will still be under budget. Plenty of land out that way and are looking at a 600sqm block or so. Some more prices and the estate your in would be helpful. This site has a wealth of information. Top job. Re: M3tr1con Santorini 26.... and land in Doreen 26Oct 26, 2009 12:58 pm Maybe the new display houses are the reason our build has slowed so much over the last month. We really needed to see the old display to compare what's been done to our skirting is what they did in the display. I hope they dont close Lyndhurst any time soon. Its strange they didn't build another Panaroma Erin given its still in the 2010 range. Nick will just have to get used to us gossiping in his threads. Sounds like the Panorama is on the way out..... my house is deleted as well..... just makes me feel even more special. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: M3tr1con Santorini 26.... and land in Doreen 29Oct 26, 2009 2:33 pm I'm always on my best behaviour!! Would be good if there was a nicely laid out thread for newbies. Just with a checkpoint list of things to remember and do. You have to go through 20 threads to find all the info you need!! Re: M3tr1con Santorini 29.... and land in Doreen 32Oct 26, 2009 4:11 pm Welcome Nick I'm not too sure about land prices.... I've heard-and someone correct me if this is just a rumour- that the latest release's land prices in The Ridge are around 210-220k. A year ago when we were looking, the same size, same slope blocks in the previous stage were selling for 175-190k. So that seems like a bit of a price hike to me if it's true... 2 5485 Yeah I don't know why I came to a forum. Place is full of wierdos/pedos thought internet may help but I suppose I'll try my luck with someone in person. Cheers. I tried… 0 6420 Need advice on the backyard plan above.
