Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 21, 2009 8:10 pm Hey Guys, We are building the Bella Elite with Frenken homes we have had a bit of trouble with them but after a long delay are well in to our build. I just wanted to know when is the end of the framing stage. We are very new to building and are not really sure. Our frame is completely up roof and all, the garage is bricked and windows and sliding doors are in! Is this the end of the frame stage? Re: Our House! 2Oct 21, 2009 9:02 pm Frame stage is normally when the frame is complete including trusses. I think your house is well past this now Re: Our House! 4Oct 22, 2009 5:11 pm Also about to commence building the Bella Elite 175, just waiting for unconditional approval! Re: Our House! 6Oct 24, 2009 4:09 pm Hi, Building in Cascades on Clyde. Yes, the 2 metre extentions will make them very large. All we did was add double doors to the rumpus and a few other bits and pieces. Look forward to seeing your progress. Kitchen, bathroom, ensuite Cupboards: New antique white, Texture Rollerdoor: Ironstone Ceilings: Natural White Walls: Hog Bristle (1/4 strength) Doors: Hog Bristle (1/2 strength) Front door & side panel: Ironstone Backdoor: Ironstone Fascia, Guttering, downpipes, front post, infill above window: Ironstone Im a bit worried now, because slingman said that he has been told late jan/early feb and we were suppose to be in by christmas and our 220 days is up on dec 31st.. Grrr welll we'll see!!! Re: Our House! 13Oct 29, 2009 8:23 pm Very nice! I reckon your colours are going to look great! I know how you feel about looking back at the colour selections when you've had more time.. We'd love to change our kitchen colours, but when we asked if we could (back when they'd not poured the slab yet) they'd already ordered the kitchen so it was too late We were looking at Hog Bristle too but were worried it might be too dark (they only had the full strength to look at when we were picking them) so we went with China White instead, which funnily enough is quite similiar to Hog Bristle 1/4 strength! Maybe give them a ring about your estimated completion date, you never know, they might get yours done before Christmas seeing as they'll have to start paying you in Jan. Re: Our House! 14Oct 30, 2009 2:01 pm So today they came and put the blue stuff on the walls (haha sorry don't know what it is called) and I think they would have started the bricks but it was raining all day grrr.. I also spoke to Frenken but everyone is away on holidays so they have to get back to me about when we will be in.. Hopefully on wednesday Re: Our House! 17Nov 09, 2009 11:54 am grrr.. About 2 weeks ago we had told our builders that the tap in the laundry was leaking we went there the next day and the water was just turned off at the main and then about a week ago the laundry bit was flooded again so they hadnt fixed it and yesterday it was still flooded so they still havent fixed and are using all our water grrrr!!! Re: Our House! 18Nov 09, 2009 1:28 pm cosmos grrr.. Jeez, thats hopeless. In an ideal world you could bill them back, but this isn't an ideal world I look forward to seeing photos of the house complete, its exciting to see someone building the same house. We've got a delay with the bank right now as Frenken thought it was okay to leave the EAST off Cranbourne East on the contract/plans. Re: Our House! 19Nov 10, 2009 1:45 pm haha im sorry to hear that, they still havent even got the name or number of our street right and we signed contracts with them in April lol.. I hope everything goes a bit more smoothly for you now and look forward to seeing your build Re: Our House! 20Nov 11, 2009 3:04 pm woo hoo got a settlement date for end of Jan, was a bit scared there for a while as they originally said end of feb!!! Just about to go to our house but drove past it earlier and the electricians were there and the bricks were completely finished yay!!! of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them. I find it odd that lawyers wouldnt be willing to take on the case, given CCT evidence and… 1 23936 "Losers" "humanity" "off time" "your" "top notch" "love symbol" Sounds like ponzo is done using other people's toilets 36 24055 |
