So I was wondering the very same thing! We also have some grout (or maybe tile glue?) from when the house was built. It sort of blended in with the texture/pattern of the tiles and over the years we've noticed a bit here and a bit there. I don't know what's worse, paying someone to do a sloppy job or having hubby do an amateurish job. Place a bit of c/wool soaked with vinegar onto the actual grout residue, (BUT AVOID GETTING THE VINEGAR IN THE GROUT JOINTS). After the vinegar has soaked the grout for about 5-10mins, wipe it off with a white nylon scourer pad. Then use a clean wet microfibre cloth to rinse and wipe up any residual vinegar. The vinegar slowly dissolves the grout. Thats why you DON'T want it in the actual grout joints. It might take 2 or 3 goes to get it off. If this is not working altogether, the grout might have a latex additive. In that case, repeat the above, but use metho. Ash. Thanks splashers, that makes sense. The waterproofing guy used this Davco product, I will raise the issue with builder and hopefully get resolved with him - if not… 2 12889 Hi everyone, Have just put a shower in the laundry and after only using it 2-3 times have noticed staining on the grout.
