Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2081Jun 09, 2011 8:20 pm I heard revesby was good as well (i grown up around the milperra area). We use to go to Padstow (for 3 lessons in total)- but didn't like it so move to hurtsville. I think i will stay at hurstville because we go swimming with friends of ours (but not happy about the price increase!) one of my friends comes from wattle grove and she mention it takes 1/2 hour down the M5 to get to hurstville. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2082Jun 09, 2011 8:32 pm The child care at GF would be real handy but I think my girls would be in school by the time that gets built. For all your joinery needs, we custom build kitchens, office, wardrobes, garage, laundry fit outs plus TV units, pantry, linen and everything in between. PM me for more info or details. She riding a pushbike?? 15 mins to and from my place to GF @ Mortdale Via M5 add 3 mins to get to Hurstville in saying that Mrs MW does tell me to slow down all the time I went outside once. The graphics were alright, but the gameplay sucked! Settlement:22nd June Slab:27th August Frame:16th Sept Bricked:21st Oct Roof:24th Nov Linings HANDOVER23rd March! Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2086Jun 10, 2011 7:54 am Lol! i Think so! It take me 10 mins via M5 from Milperra. Fifi - i have heard about the swimming pool at Condell Park - but can never find it. My girlfriend lives on towesend rd and i think it is near there? Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2087Jun 10, 2011 9:17 am the house jack built hi to all,we are so looking forward to moving into Georges Fair and as we are coming from Wollongong - thought we were escaping the coal trucks!!!! lol(we both work in Sydney) we are seeking some recommendations re child care and swimming lessons. Our son will be 3 and a half in January 2012 when we hope to move in (we currently have a slab!) Your advice is most appreciated Hi the house jack built, My daughter goes to your kids our kids at moorebank, we are really happy with them. Although the one at moorebank is only for 2-5 year olds but the one at chipping norton accepts under 2's. I take my daughter to Holsworthy for swimming lessons, which is 5 mins down the road, i have no complaints about it. Mel Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2088Jun 10, 2011 3:07 pm Attention Everyone: Jackie has today rescinded the offer to use the Land Sales office for our meeting. We have now organised with the Principal of Nuwarra Primary School to use their school hall for the meeting free of charge from 6:30-9:00 We will be getting there a bit earlier to meet with her, and to set up some chairs etc. We need to get a notice or something put up on the land sales doors to let everyone know that just turns up and isn't on this forum where it has moved to. Again, new location is in the school hall at Nuwarra Primary School, McKay Rd Moorebank (the school on your right as you head towards Moorebank shops from Georges Fair). Directions When leaving Georges Fair, cross over at the lights, take the first right into Lucas Ave, then the first left into McKay Rd. Enter the carpark and go through the gates, the hall is right there (we'll be there to direct people). Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2089Jun 10, 2011 3:09 pm Oh, and now for some good/exciting news..... The fences came down on stage 3A today, and they have sprayed more of the spray-on grass on areas they have been digging up for the services etc. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2090Jun 10, 2011 3:43 pm joannapaulp Oh, and now for some good/exciting news..... The fences came down on stage 3A today, and they have sprayed more of the spray-on grass on areas they have been digging up for the services etc. YAY!!!!! And I was only out there having a look yesterday. Not that we haven't been down there anyway. Seems as though they gave the security guy the flick. He seemed to always be around when the fences were up on the last release. Anyway our landlord has given us the boot so we are looking to rent a place in Chipping Norton until the build is finished, will be nice and close and we will be able to get used to the area and the dreaded drive on the M5. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2091Jun 10, 2011 4:13 pm Yep went and did a lap this afternoon as did someone else in a black SUV Kind of strange not having to sneak in anymore I went outside once. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2092Jun 10, 2011 7:23 pm Sorry to hear that kballa. Hope you will get a place to stay. It's stressful especially I understand you will be going overseas. Hope this will be the last time you move other than moving to 21 Travers Street! Our address is 11 Travers Street. Your advice is most appreciated OK, currently we have my boys attending the Heights Preschool which is on Nuwarra Rd near the lights/library/Enzo's. Can't fault them. As for swimming lessons, we're attending the Holsworthy one, can't fault them either, but don't know any different. And yay, we've started!! The block got scraped, pins put in and getting ready for the formwork for the concrete slab (and can I say, about bl**dy time!!). Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2096Jun 11, 2011 5:33 am Congrats can't wait. We too were very excited to see a temporary fence around where our slab will be. Mind you, we made our largest payment last Tuesday to get the slab down so something should have happened by now! Our little one was beside herself. A nice change from the almost tears every time we rocked up and there was the rubble still! Hubby parked our car in the 'backyard' and we did a little dance by dark. Too cool. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2097Jun 11, 2011 7:03 am Congrats to both of you guys. We know the feeling all too well. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2098Jun 11, 2011 8:36 am We're in the home straight now (pardon the pun). All indications are that we'll have hand over either the last week of June or first week of July. From what we've been told wardrobes, shower screens, bathroom and en-suite fit outs are next on the agenda, then floor tiles / carpet and final electricals and plumbing connections once power is connected - we expect power to be connected next week. Our contract with M includes driveway paving so that will probably be the last thing to happen before we set a move in date. We've pretty much agreed to have major appliances, A/C etc fitted the day after we get the keys -it's too risky having those things installed before the house is occupied as they are prone to getting stolen. We've found a few things that need attention and have had a walk through with our SS to agree on what rectifications will be done. The less things hanging at the end the better. We have a good SS so fairly confident that we'll get to the end relatively hassle-free. It's a pretty long journey - we paid the deposit on the block in February 2010, it's good to finally see the finishing post. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2100Jun 11, 2011 9:36 am Gaz that is so exciting!!!! Jack - my daughter goes swimming at Bubbles Learn to Swim at Mounties, mount pritchard. Love it there!!!!!! And she starts pre school next year and I think we will be sending her to either one of the Your Kids Our Kids at either moorebank or chippo.
