Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 6041May 10, 2015 1:04 am Hello, My name is Fiona and I am the President of the Moorebank Resident's Action Group. Please see below a copy of the email I sent out to the list of email addresses I have gathered over the past 5 years we have been fighting against the Moorebank Recyclers proposal. If you would like to be included in future correspondence please forward your email address to moorebankcommittee@gmail.com. I will email regular updates and post here and on the new Georges Fair forum as we coordinate our final attempt to stop this ludicrous proposal!! Hi Everyone, As you most likely know, yesterday many people received information relating to the upcoming PAC Hearing regarding Moorebank Recyclers application. Unfortunately the Department of Planning and Infrastructure has recommended that the project be approved...this is devastating for our cause, but we still have a final opportunity to present at the PAC as it will be a Public hearing. As a committee, we have scheduled a meeting with Liverpool Council and requested meetings with other interested parties next week so we can formulate the best way to make a coordinated response to the PAC. We also plan to contact media this week and get as much exposure as is possible to make the Minister aware of the ludicrous nature of this application. Please take the time to read the recommendation made by the Dept of Planning and Infrastructure, which can be found at this link..http://majorprojects.planning.nsw.gov.a ... job_id=100 under the heading Recommendation to the PAC I will be nominating to speak at the PAC Hearing, as will other members of the committee. If you wish to also speak, please take the time to read the information on the PAC Website relating to addressing the PAC - it relates to addressing only issues contained within the Dept of Planning recommendation, and the time limits for presentations. I think it is very important to present a united, organised, coordinated response to the PAC, and I will provide regular updates on what the committee is up to. At this point I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has some contacts in the media, or political arena who you think may be able to assist us. I will be in touch regularly.. Warm regards, Fiona Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 6042May 10, 2015 6:11 pm I have just logged on to see if anyone had heard of this ridiculous lunacy about the recycling plant and I can see that you have! We are totally in shock that this looks set to proceed and we are completely appalled!! Investa have left themselves wide open to be sued after promising that this was over and very clearly it is not!! We have only 2 weapons - firstly spreading the word to as many people as possible about the meeting and secondly any media interest that can be drummed up and we need to have one person co-ordinating that as much as possible and pushing the issue everywhere!
Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 6043May 11, 2015 9:41 am Hello Residents Has anyone been in touch or wrote to 2GB? Alan Jones has the pulling power if he was to support residents on this matter. Its very disappointing to hear that the Department of Planning and Infrastructure has recommended for the project to be approved. Why is no one listing!! Plus Brighton Lakes Development is going up. I am sure that Mirvac should get involved on this matter. Recycling Plant doesn't belong in residential area Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 6044May 11, 2015 3:06 pm Hi All, We are in the process of contact Alan Jones, A Current Affair, and print media. I had a great suggestion from one of our residents, and I need your help...It was brought to my attention that there needs to be a visual presence to our plight as people drive around and past the Estate...I'm thinking signage on private fences and in front years...what I'm after is anyone with contacts in the printing business who may be able to donate, or provide for a nominal fee, their time and resources to print some signs for us ASAP so that we can expose this issue to the wider public...Please PM me or email moorebankcommittee@gmail.com if you can help out Thanks, Fi Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 6045May 11, 2015 6:56 pm All of my neighbours even donot know this news, I also send the email to GF sales center , they do't not respons , because GF sales center can spread the information as quick as possible and time is limited. There are some aspects we can do? 1 contact Marina , GF sales center, Boral again 2 Conatct Council 3 Contact Mirvac development ? If someone can help and provide information Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 6046May 11, 2015 7:16 pm Markxie, Can you please send me your email address in a private message so I can keep you updated on what the Moorebank Residents' Action Group is doing, and how you can help.. Hi Lumocolor I feel the same as we bought a 375sqm land price for $465,000 and now our building will be starting on september. when we bought the land, investa said there will be marine.... so we got excited but now I am so worried about the bank valuation during the building time. Hope all goes well.
