Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2203Jun 22, 2011 1:26 pm Yes, MW mine is ...... tick tick tick .... another 3,900 seconds ticks to go! Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2204Jun 22, 2011 2:04 pm Yes twodragons+3 is spot on, we were caught in this sittuation exactly, in the show home they had 900mm ovens, after signing we were told we only got a 600mm oven, we disputed it that we were told the 900 was included by the sales consultant and won after showing them a photo !. Also with door handles we had the same and won again along with many other items.
My suggestion is, and it worked a treat for us, take photo's of the whole display home in and out, when they say its not included, show them the photo !!. They took 1300mm long stainless steel handles of the panty doors after we signed as they went to a smaller cheaper one, well we had photo's of proof they were there when we signed, when we went back they were all changed and all holes filled and painted in the doors so no one else could get them. Congrats to all owning there land today Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2205Jun 22, 2011 3:13 pm Yeh! ...... got a call from our solicitor at 3.00 pm sharp! Done! Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2212Jun 23, 2011 8:53 am finally we have progress excavation started yesterday might have a slap next week!!! Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2213Jun 23, 2011 7:03 pm Got an update from our SS this afternoon - we're about a week away from getting the keys, all that is left is the driveway paving and letterbox outside and the appliances, alarm system and A/C installed and it's ready to go. We do our final pre-handover inspection next Monday and barring any late hitches we're good to go.....all in all it's been a pretty quick build considering the slab was laid early March... I drive up your street after dropping into the house of an evening to watch the progress as you guys are about a month ahead of us. Looks like we are still 6 to 8 weeks away, tiles going down next week. Did you have many defects ? Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2215Jun 24, 2011 2:39 am Nice Gazman Super fast build! Was down in 3A tonight and spotted some locals. Two of Biggest rabbits I have ever seen and also some grubs have started dumping fast food waste down in the turnback areas on Travers GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I went outside once. We haven't seen the bunnies so far up into the estate for quite awhile. Saw some other 'wildlife' at one of the houses next to the traffic lights this morning too....squeak,squeak Built a Clarendon 'Balmain' 2008 Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2217Jun 24, 2011 4:21 pm our experience was similar to two dragons + 3 - we decided to get to costings from both EBH and W****m- both ashley and frank at Minto for W and Jean at EBH were fantastic especially in regards to our site costs which were predicted to be high... in the end we chose EBH mainly due to the house design being more suited to our family (corner design saville). we did think you got more extras included with W but it was interesting that the tenders were about the same price! I have read your build, Waynee re defects and all!!! so disapointing for you and trust that all works out for you - has anyone contracted a private building inspector during their construction period? and if so what was your experience? your advice is most appreciated thanks Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2218Jun 24, 2011 6:28 pm Hello to all in GF Firstly I would like to say WOW, what a great read that was! 111 pages in two days and I haven't even read a page of my contract yet lol. I would also like to thank all of you here as the wealth of information gathered from this thread is priceless. My wife and I have put down a deposit for a piece of land on Bushview Lane not realising that Brickmakers Dr could now be a Detour from Governer Maquarie Dr to Nuwarra Rd. Our concerns have been assured by sales that this wont be the case as Brickmakers Dr will have a residential speed limit of 50km an hour with multiple roundabouts. What are your thoughts on this? I also read on the local newspaper that the recycling plans have been denied for now, but would like to keep updated in Bek's private forum and help where we can. I will pm you soon Bek. Thanks all. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2219Jun 24, 2011 9:26 pm Welcome to the forum Nelly T, and Congrats on your deposit Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2220Jun 24, 2011 9:30 pm Welcome to the community. brickmakers will be 1 lane each way and will have traffic calming devices along its length, It will still be a cut through though I went outside once.
