Their admin is really slow and their time line on their brochures is very misleading. If I was to use that they should have laid my slab in may last year but at that stage we were still at council. We came out of council early june and I finally got slabbed in August. Not happy that it took a couple of angry calls mentioning their own timelines before they really moved. But once they start construction it seems to fly. We got keys a out 3 weeks shy of our 26 week build time. And in GF you get one if the best supervisors. He's wonderful. Good luck Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 4922Apr 01, 2013 3:27 pm Hi I hope everyone on the forum has submitted an objection to the moorebank recyclers proposal There is not many days left to do so We need to have our last hoorah and get as many more in as possible Please ask your family, friends, children's teachers and friends parents, sporting clubs, churches etc etc All to email an objection or sign the objection letter and get it sent in Anyone in NSW can object Every adult in each household can object So please ask everyone before its too late I would rather get more and do the most I/we can before the deadline Rather than the proposal gets approved because we didn't do enough 1 objection from you isn't good enough How many others have you got? Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 4926Apr 03, 2013 11:00 pm Cordova Hi All, I have a 375 m lot. What is the minimum setback from the rear fence to the rear of the house. Has anyone received approval for four meters? It should be on your georges fair booklet with your contract. It also depends if a sewer line runs through the back as that has restrictions on how close your house can be to it. I'm on 300 sqm and 5.7 m setback at the rear. Your builder should know the rules though and the builders in GF would have home designs they can use on your block... I believe some people have been approved for 4m setback. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 4929Apr 04, 2013 7:04 am Thank you all for your feedback. My approval has been knocked back due to 4m from the rear setback. I have also heard that a couple of houses have been approved with 4m rear setback. Back to the drawing board. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 4933Apr 11, 2013 9:40 pm Hi Everyone Liverpool Council is proposing a 5 Tonne load limit on Brickmakers Drive. They are calling for submissions in support of the load limit, but the cutoff is 5pm tomorrow. I have emailed everyone whose details I have with a standard support letter but please feel free to email your support to lcc@liverpool.nsw.gov.au Thanks Fi Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 4937Apr 11, 2013 10:30 pm Hi Arcot, I received an email today from MJH that I require a complete sewer peg out as Sydney water knocked back my approval as their plans have not been amended. Did you have the same problem? Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 4939Apr 12, 2013 4:29 am Cordova Hi Arcot, I received an email today from MJH that I require a complete sewer peg out as Sydney water knocked back my approval as their plans have not been amended. Did you have the same problem? Hi Cordova, Yes, I had the same problem. Sydney water will take a long time to update their records. To arrange for a private inspection and sewer report and peg out they charged us around $870. LCC will not even look into the plans without this report & this is what we were told. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 4940Apr 12, 2013 5:33 am Hi Arcot, Thank you for your reply. I will be approaching Investa today concerning this issue and will be contacting Qalchek to see if they can do this inspection for me. What upsets me is that this is an added cost and is a stumbling block especially when you are approaching the 150 day contract deadline with your builder.
