Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2265Jun 30, 2011 3:31 pm RandH RichandKat finally we have progress excavation started yesterday might have a slap next week!!! Have they started? Hi RandH Yes we finally got a slap on Tuesday, wife and i did a happy dance on it yesterday. How is yours going? Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2266Jun 30, 2011 5:25 pm Went for a drive today and Georges Fair is looking better by the day, cant wait for us to get started. We also found out from council that our lot along with a few others here have bush fire requirements, I know the builders only give an estimate so just wanted to see what the actual cost is. It would be greatly appreciated, if those who built earlier in this bush fire zone share with us newcomers how much it cost, and what you got for the extra dollars. Thanks Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2267Jun 30, 2011 9:55 pm Our concrete slab got poured 20th June, 10 days later we've now got our 2nd floor framework up. How exciting - all happening pretty fast... I'm yet to do a happy dance on the slab LOL... Our temp fence seems to be TOO secure!! I'm not nimble enough to climb over/under it so will continue to watch the progress from the sidelines. I finish work when it's dark but I still visit our block as much as I can, I pull up into the driveway and turn hi-beam lights on, just so I can see what they've done for the day LOL... Oh and by the way, I am loving the new park - can't wait to try the new flying fox!! Be quite a sight, so I apologise in advance LOL Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2268Jun 30, 2011 10:03 pm can't wait Our concrete slab got poured 20th June, 10 days later we've now got our 2nd floor framework up. Thanks Hi Nelly_T - we are in Honeymyrtle and had an allowance of $10,000 in our quotation for fire but nothing was required. I lurved that credit variation. Nice to see it coming our way rather than the other! Congrats MW on the fast approval and infocus and Waynee on the progress of your homes. All looking good! Now if only we could get that site scrape done... four weeks and still nothing. Although Mr TW+3 suspects it may be due to them not wanting to invoice anything until financial year end to close their books off nice and neatly. So if so, they'd better get their butts in gear NOW. It's July already and I want to be texting Santa the kids new address in GF!
