Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 4881Mar 21, 2013 11:20 pm Very interesting(deceptive) the Moorebank Recyclers claim to the Leader that the truck traffic will be onto Newbridge rd and not brickmakers dr. That is not possible as their 9 metre wide existing access is not nearly wide enough for trucks to radius turn from Newbridge into their driveway except from the middle lane which is expressly forbidden by the RMS( old RTA). They are well aware of this which is why they are fighting council and us in court for alternate access onto Brickmakers dr. In fact some eight years ago when they just opened the site up and started receiving and crushing and selling concrete blatantly without any council consent there were several near misses of trucks turning into their driveway from Newbridge almost cleaning up an unsuspecting driver travelling in the left lane. They need a deceleration lane like we have but with only a 9 metre frontage it is impossible hence the pressure for the access to Brickmakers . Also they want $10 M for their land but have never offered it to council- another porky- but they have offered it to us(dreaming!) Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 4882Mar 22, 2013 1:21 pm catbrad Izzysyd Scared1stTimeBuilder My main concern is - people that are still building or don't resident in George's Fair may have no idea of the project. I can tell you now that if I didn't come across this website I would have no clue what was going on. Hi I don't live in georges fair and haven't started building and received a letter from nsw planning in the post as my land has settled, so it is getting out to owners who are not living there yet... Good to hear! Still there's probably 300-500 lots not sold which means 600-1000 objections that will never happen. =[ Hi Izzysyd I dont live at GF yet too, but did not received any letter at all, not from nsw planning or MR. My land was settled in Jan 2013. So it is very likely that brushwood 4D purchasers may not even be aware of this issue, unless they're computer savvy and troll the forums. i hope whoever reads this forum has put in objections to the nsw planning website. 2 weeks till 5 Apr. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 4884Mar 22, 2013 6:46 pm zRoYz I received same letter from Liverpool council as catbrad. I also received reply from Natalie Peterson Office of Melanie Gibbons MP State Member for Menai. What did Natalie say? Fi Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 4886Mar 23, 2013 2:37 pm I got that letter too, but when I called Megan Hill on 9821 9285 I was told that the number was included only as courtesy and I would have to ring 9228 6111 which I did. I did not get any satisfying answers there either. Who is the local member for Liverpool? AND how many reasons do we need to tell them, businesses of ANY kind are not wanted in a residential area. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 4887Mar 23, 2013 6:23 pm Hi everyone, I will be one of the new residence at GF soon and strongly disagree with this recycling plant plan as we are not going to know what kind of substances will be created from this "thing". I hope everyone that receiving the letter will oppose to this plant and not to let it goes by. PS: Nice to meet everyone at GF...>>> Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 4890Mar 24, 2013 11:41 am Building Oxford 20 (EBH) Land Registered - 7 December 2011 Site started - 17th July 2012 Base complete - 25th July Frame complete - 7th Aug Brickwork Complete 7 Sept Lockup Complete 25 Sept Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 4891Mar 25, 2013 7:53 am An example of the smoke and mirrors- Moorebank's own Environmental Assessment doc states " The NSW Roads and Maritime Services has advised that it would not grant it's concurrence to the proposed development having its ingress and egress from/to Newbridge Road". Given that Moorebank Recyclers accepts this how can they state recently that the truck traffic will not flow on to Brickmakers but rather onto Newbridge. A classic example of saying one thing publicly but promoting another........ Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 4892Mar 25, 2013 9:07 am kesrob Hi All, Can anyone tell me what the wait is up to for council approval now?? How many weeks did you / are you still waiting?? Hi Kesrob, We finally got council approval on Friday 22/3 and we submitted with Wisdom on 1/2. However, the letter forwarded by Wisdom has the date of 8/3 on the top... so not sure what happened there. I suggest calling council to get your DA application number then call once a week to check on progress - don't rely on the builders keeping you up to date. KB. I've got heaps more but not enough time to give em out. We should give them to parents at schools, sports clubs and churches. And put on windscreens at the shops at moorebank, chipping norton and wattle grove. Anyone want any flyers? Anyone want to help? Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 4895Mar 25, 2013 8:55 pm Fifi Great job Catbrad!!! I've tried to give them out at schools but they weren't that receptive.. Fi Are ACA interested in doing a follow up... Or today tonight interested in doing a story? More about recycling plant and health/environmental issues? And how to object and by when Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 4897Mar 25, 2013 10:35 pm kieranb kesrob Hi All, Can anyone tell me what the wait is up to for council approval now??
