Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 4411Dec 30, 2012 4:53 pm Building the S36 Scared1stTimeBuilder Building the S36, thanks for that. We are meeting with Rawson in 2013, Want to see what our options are. I know that Eden Breu offer fixed prices however their price is around $30k more than WH. How are you finding Rawson Homes? Merry Xmas. Rawson have been great. We have not been charged extra for anything since our Tender was signed. The biggest positive is our site costs have been fixed. This is one reason we chose Rawson so we could budget on the upgrades we want in the house. What house have you chosen from Rawson? We are building the Seaview 36 on a 12.5m wide block. The design is perfect as it gives us more side yard than other houses we looked at. We have not decided what we are going to build. We are hoping to meet with Angus from Rawson next weekend and see what he says. I am glad to hear that all is going well. I'll check their website for a good deal.. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 4417Dec 30, 2012 9:37 pm Hi all As far as I'm aware there has not been any formal application to the NSW Planning Dept in relation to the Recycling facility. Moorebank Recyclers has twice received Director General's directives but has never made application. I'll check and get back but I think they have until 2015 to submit an application. Any queries or letters of concern should be sent to the NSW Minister for Planning and Infrastructure and the Director General of the NSW Dept of Planning and Infrastructure. Liverpool Council has nothing to do with the development, and in principle they don't support it. Regards Fifi xx Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 4418Dec 31, 2012 5:17 pm From what I understood it was before the planning dept but because there is no road access to the site it was declined. Liverpool Council had approved access to the site but had a special meeting to take away the roadway access. If I remember correctly its been awhile! Now we just have to get that shiny marina built! Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 4419Dec 31, 2012 9:26 pm Mecha you are right when you say the issue of access is a problem but its not impossible for Moorebank Recyclers to overcome this. The Director General has made recommendation that the issue of access be clarified so for now it's a stalling point but not unresolvable (unfortunately). To the best of my knowledge information regarding the application has been sought by moorebank recyclers but the application hasn't actually been lodged yet. We formed a committee some time ago (The Moorebank Residents' Action Group) to fight this ridiculous development so is anyone would like more info feel free to PM me.
