Handover for me this friday Gratz pawer.. your house looks very nice roro1913 Hi all! I'm building with EB! How long from PCI to handover? Generally if there aren't many issues to resolve Usually 2-3 weeks.. will depend on how many faults need to be rectified. I have quite a list so far and that's without gaining access internally for a few weeks now. We were told November-ish as well but after reading the forum and speaking to builders they got us prepared for the worst. We've also been advised about extending our fixed price but if it's been moved from September to November maybe we don't need too. Though for both our sakes, fingers crossed it's done by November. Hopefully I haven't caused you any unnecessary stress!! As for the salinity issue mentioned before. It's more so a case of liability than anything else since chances of saline problems are minimal. For those building at the moment, it's a tricky situation. Since Liverpool Council are including it in their DA approvals, they won't be held responsible which means if there isn't a clause in your builder contract specifically recommending saline soil construction of the home then they'll be liable. For everyone who's built already, if Liverpool Council don't mention it then they'll be liable and if your builder didn't mention but council did, it they'll be liable. Hope that all makes sense. Congrats Pawer and hope PCI was/is all good Houdaman! Hi, we live in an area where the black soil is prone to a lot of movement. We have an old 50's house with masonite everywhere and nails popping out, warping, rusted etc.… 0 4542 Wish you all the best. Once you signed the contract, they will find millions excuses to charge you. And have seen their sites unfinished for a long time. 4 25025 As title suggests, looking at using the interlocking Pentablock stacked stone products to replace failing timber retaining… 0 18073 |
