I did and around $3k will be added to our tender. /quote] Us too. Will likely be doing same thing. A friend of mine also got this email, he will be building on Eckersley Way... what streets are you guys all on? and are you all building with Wisdom? Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 4098Aug 10, 2012 11:13 am krayzie kesrob Hi All, We have question on driveways if anyone can help us out?? Our driveway isn't covered in the cost of the build, though we do get a landscaping voucher than can be used to go towards the cost of the driveway, though we will still need to contribute extra to it we are told. We were wondering if anyone had used an independent for their driveways if not covered in their build, and what the rough cost of this was. We don't want to use the landscaping voucher with the builder if the overall cost of an independent is cheaper than that of using the voucher plus the additional money. Any feedback / recommendations / costs would be greatly appreciated. Cheers. If you know someone who can do it cheap then get them to do it. We have done a lot of concreting at my inlaws, brother inlaw done the screeding and we were paying about $550 for 3 cubic meters. The labor is where the cost is but there is no justification in paying 9k+ for driveways its an outright ripoff. Just to add to it mesh was approx $300 and we did about 10 cube in total. And bought a hopper to spray on stencil Didn't come close the quotes people on the forum are getting. Clarendon wanted something stupid like 12k for our driveway. I ended up doing it myself and doing it probably 1/3 bigger and it cost me under 6k. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 4099Aug 10, 2012 1:48 pm I'm also wondering why the fee "Removal of additional clean fill (13ton). Allowance $750" appears" being charged twice. One for Excavation and one for Driveway. We prefer to do the landscaping which we can do by ourselves with tools. I'm not sure can these be done by non-professional people like us?
