Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2368Jul 14, 2011 10:01 pm Well I moved in last December and only got Internet and a home phone in MAY! It took Telstra ages to get their act together, so if any of you are looking to move in in the next few months, get on Telstra's back NOW. We had no cables (Garden Court release) laid until May even though I was told in December by Telstra that we were all ready to get connected. It's been a long battle with the Ombudsman's dept but I finally got it.... I do hope you get superfast internet, but I doubt it since we only have ADSL (not even ADSL2+) and so does everyone else I know who lives in this estate. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2369Jul 15, 2011 12:14 pm Hi all, Just wondering how helpful others have found GF sales staff? Everytime we've called with a question so far we're advised to email but when we email we never seem to get replies. After being advised to use a particular conveyancer familiar with GF by the sales office a couple of weeks ago, we're still waiting for contact details (requested them twice) ... didn't realise it would be this frustrating and unprofessional at such an early stage. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2370Jul 15, 2011 2:26 pm Hi JnC, We used Michelle from Convenient Law Solutions she was great and can come to you - Very reasonable pricing too. http://www.convenientlawsolutions.com.au/ Michelle's number is 0423 662 334 (I am sure it is ok to give out) She also did the conveyancing for us on the home we are in now and our Two rental properties. Good luck - It sure can be a testing time! Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2371Jul 15, 2011 7:02 pm JnC, I reckon that when you are dealing with the sales staff it is a TEST. The more you hassle them, the more they know you are serious. Just keep pushing, phone pop in email til you get a result. As for a specific conveyancer I don't see the need we didn't we just used a local one I went outside once. The graphics were alright, but the gameplay sucked! Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2373Jul 17, 2011 9:43 am Hi all...haven't been on for a while. I contacted NBN about the optical fibres for down our way (Honeymyrtle) as I assume that Telstra haven't put copper in there yet given Bek's frustrations and they, of course, could not give me any info about what we might expect. So I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping that it happens within the next 6 months because.........we finally have a slab! Yippee! Hooray! And now for the exciting part! Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2374Jul 17, 2011 10:55 am mecha-wombat How is everyone progessing in 3A?? Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2377Jul 17, 2011 9:05 pm So on a great note we got the keys on Friday, on a bad note let the real stress begin. Strange how our building process went so smoothly and now actually trying to organise everything to move in has been a huge huge stress. Really nice having people drive by, walk by etc and stop for a chat and offer advice just goes to show what a great community GF is. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 2378Jul 17, 2011 9:11 pm Congrats Bel Do you remember when we were discussing at the beginning of the year about when we went to developer and council around the same time as each other? Only feels like yesterday. Glad the building process went smooth with C. It rests my mind at ease. Good luck with the move in. You have a two storey house so I am sure if yours was single your construction would be complete by now as well. It really did go smooth with C would highly recommend them, we have been very fortunate. Won't be long for you now. Hi, we live in an area where the black soil is prone to a lot of movement.
