Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 1115Jan 17, 2011 8:30 am Maxie I think that will eventually be sold as a house. The car park is another lot in the DP I recall a conversation with J at the Sales Office and she mentioned that it would likely become commercial offices- maybe a dentist or something like that. As with all things GF...I suppose we will have to wait to see what eventuates. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 1116Jan 17, 2011 9:40 am Hi Everyone, Our house along The Parkway, is coming along. Fingers crossed we will be in late feb/early March. We has an issue last week, where the wrong wall tiles were layed in all the bathrooms, WC's and laundry. They have had to pull them all off, along with the waterproof and villaboard. For those along The Parkway, I spoke with a chap from Council a few weeks ago, and apparently completion of the The Parkway is the reponsibility of Council and not the Developer and that the road works will be done once all the house are completed. Seems strange given some houses havent even started yet. Question for everyone: What are people doing with their painting? I think all buiders give a 2 coat system. Has anyone upgraded? I understand the first coat has a build in undercoat/sealer and the second is a colour. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 1117Jan 17, 2011 6:21 pm first coat is a tinted sealer second coat is a topcoat Still deciding if I will pay extra I will probably just repaint it when I am in anyway I went outside once. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 1118Jan 17, 2011 7:44 pm Hi all Just dropped in to say Hi, have been following this forum for quite some time, and have found it invaluable for most information at GF. We are building in Fairway Close and cant wait to get started, hopefully within the next 2 months , just waiting for final council approval after we had to re submit our plans as we were knocked back for breaching the rear setback. Is anyone else here building down near or on Fairway ?. ps: Stressing out about it flooding down there now after the last couple of week in QL . Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 1119Jan 17, 2011 8:12 pm Hi Waynee, we have also bought on Fairway Close. Our plans haven't been submitted yet as they are waiting on our landscape design (we are going to attempt to draw up our own design to save $$$). We will be building the Tribeca with M homes. Who are you building with and which house did you go with? So nice to meet a neighbour = ) Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 1120Jan 17, 2011 8:33 pm Hi ojaaynme (neighbour) nice to meet you. We are building a modified EB Bridgeport 26, plans were re submited 23/12/10, council has now asked for a new landscape plan with all the levels in place from EB, as this is part of our package they are responsible for that thank god. As soon as this is approved I will be asking for a start date from EB as everthing else is completed, just waiting to build so we can get out of the rental property we are now in as we sold our house at WG to do this biuld ......
