Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 791Oct 31, 2010 7:50 am I cAnt believe they've actually started the Shell service station - it's been planned for YEARS. Originally it was going to include the convenience store (still is) and a Hungry Jacks but thankfully that got the chop I wonder if the shopping centre at Holsworthy Station is a no- goer now. The land has been cleared for ages now - McDonalds & Aldi were supposed to go up pretty quickly. Built a Clarendon 'Balmain' 2008 Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 792Oct 31, 2010 5:14 pm I'm stoked about the Shell servo. I hate the Liverpool one on the Hume Hwy. Haven't heard about the Maccas and Aldi but that would be good if it did go ahead. What I really want is the Moorebank Woolies to be upgraded. That store is so stuck in the 80's it isn't funny. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 793Oct 31, 2010 5:23 pm Just wondering what halloween is/was like today/tonight at the estate - I love halloween and have been down to the shops today to be bags and bags of lollies for the trick or treaters but have been so disappointed thus far as we have only had two come.... Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 794Oct 31, 2010 6:17 pm No mecha-wombat, I don't have a build thread - not keen on letting random people see my house! If they build an Aldi at Holsworthy I will be STOKED - love love love Aldi. And closest one to us is Bankstown Airport or Liverpool, so will be nice to have one at our doorstep. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 795Oct 31, 2010 7:07 pm Well, I'm all out of Halloween goodies now. We had a few large groups of kids come around. Last year there was no-one - so many more families have moved in over the past year Built a Clarendon 'Balmain' 2008 Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 796Oct 31, 2010 7:31 pm ojaaynme Everyone has so much news re moving in, settling with their land, purchasing land etc... We received notification from our solicitor today that our land will settle on 26th Nov at 12.30pm. And then on the 29th Nov we have our colour appointment with M homes (it is going to be such a challenge to choose colours - hubby and I aren't very creative)... We also heard from our solicitor late Friday to advise that Settlement will take place on 26 Nov so exciting. Now we just need to get our finances in order. does anyone know if the fences have come down, we still have not seen our block of land in the flesh yet and can't wait. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 797Oct 31, 2010 7:40 pm Fences are still up. Although I went in this morning at about 6:30. Managed to walk right down to Bushview Lane and took pics along the way. So peaceful on a Sunday morning at that time. Will upload what took shortly.
