Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 19, 2009 6:44 pm As the title says - I'm trying to figure out how much my quote with the builder might come out at to render my portico area. If people don't feel akward in doing so, could people share how much your builder or trades person charged you? They have put on my plans for the developer "acrylic render" - what ever that means lol Deposits paid 29/4/09 Land settlement 12/08/09 Build contract signed 24/08/09 Colours done 28/09/09 BLOG-http://www.eljaysbuild.blogspot.com/ Re: How much did it cost to render your portico? 2Oct 19, 2009 10:12 pm With the builder they can sometimes charge from between $500 to $5000 My dad just had his entire Alfesco done on his current house he has been in for a few years though now, and paid $800 for it to be rendered Inside and Outside with the color mixed into the render ... So maybe you could even get it done later on if it is not a developer requirement to get building approval We're building The Albany 330E with Casa Design & Construction via National Builders Group See how we are going here: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=32694 Re: How much did it cost to render your portico? 3Oct 19, 2009 10:18 pm Hi there, It is part of the developer requirement but I have it written in that I will do it after handover. I haven't been able to get any other quotes, because NO ONE will return my phone calls or emails. so I have nothing to compare the builders price with I don't want to sign off to a price with the builder if I can definately get it done cheaper afterwards *sigh* This is so hard, only time I wish I had a man to do all the this stuff lol Deposits paid 29/4/09 Land settlement 12/08/09 Build contract signed 24/08/09 Colours done 28/09/09 BLOG-http://www.eljaysbuild.blogspot.com/ Re: How much did it cost to render your portico? 4Oct 19, 2009 10:26 pm Eljay This is so hard, only time I wish I had a man to do all the this stuff lol hahaha ... ill find out who my dad used and pass the details on (make sure you remind me if i forget) Caroline Springs area But his alfresco he had done is 5m x 4.8m and he had two full walls inside and out rendered with color included and was $800 on the head. And it is a spot on job too ... No faults at all and free quote done first. That's for the pier at the front of the Big M Riva 33. Rendering the remainder of the front of the house was quoted as $5,250. This is for "fine texture trowel-on acrylic render from builders standard range of pigmented render colours". The prices include common bricks and flush mortar joints (which I think reduces the price). Edit: This was the builder's price Metricon Riva 33 - http://herlihy-riva.blogspot.com Site start 15/03/2010 - Handover 23/12/2010 9 months and 8 days (284 calendar days) from site start to handover Re: How much did it cost to render your portico? 6Oct 20, 2009 9:51 am Quote: I don't want to sign off to a price with the builder if I can definately get it done cheaper afterwards Re: How much did it cost to render your portico? 7Oct 20, 2009 11:44 am buildingwithhamra Quote: I don't want to sign off to a price with the builder if I can definately get it done cheaper afterwards wow that is a good price we're getting ours done afterwards, i only want the portico and front brick post done, and i'll be getting my step-dad to do it (he did our family home a few years ago and it looks awesome and was so cheap!) with our builder i think the price was something like $1800 just for the portico alone Caz & Co ALL MOVED IN!! Thats one tick for my builder. Does anybody who I can contact to adjust the portico on the ground to relevel the portico and roof? 1 832 7 12025 No the fireplace doesn’t work. It’s been enclosed. I’m not sure what was removed, as it was done quite some time ago - well before what I can see with photos online… 2 11589 |
