Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 20, 2010 7:26 pm Hi all, We have picked the following colours: Bricks - Boral Wintergold in double height with off white mortar (creamy brick) Roof tilles - Bristille Designer Mallee (dark brown) I'm really torn for the gutter. Do you think it looks better to match the roof (ie Colorbond Jasper), go a contrast (ie colorbond Paperbark) or mix (ie Jasper gutter/paperbark fascia). My DH is NO help at all and is just doing this ideas please! And if anyone used those colours please feel free to post pics and add your suggestions. It would be so much easier if we could afford the colorbond roof. I'm worried if we "match" the roof and the tile is slightly darker/lighter it will look mismatched. Thanks for your help! ********************* Here is a pic of our brick and roof tile. Now just picking whether to have the Jasper gutter and Paperbark fascia. Not sure if the Jasper is too close but not matching.??? Next door have a tiled roof and gutters to match the colour and it does not appear to much darker or lighter then the tile colour. Saying that tho, their roof is the same colour as mine. I don't know how it works with the browns?? Emlet are you having a garage door? What colour is that?? We are having the same kind of garage as yours, and I was going to use either Jasper or Paperbark (if we use paperbark for the gutters. I'm so indecisive!! Re: colour selection madness...help with gutter/fascia pleas 6Aug 21, 2010 12:18 pm My roof / gutter / fascia all match. I have black roof tiles / gutter / fascia with a lighter coloured brick. Our garage door is a timber look however so there is a break in the colour "matchiness" Some things are worth waiting for. Re: *pic added*...help with gutter/fascia please! 7Aug 21, 2010 5:08 pm hmmm the jasper looks grey-ish against your tile in that pic. but i think maybe its just the light in that pic, and on a large scale the jasper will be a nice edging to your roof tiles even if it is a bit darker. Re: *pic added*...help with gutter/fascia please! 8Aug 21, 2010 5:41 pm You are having Boral Winter Gold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations, I think this is one of those absolutely drop dead gorgeous bricks !!! OK, back to the topic. When I was planning it (and decided against it in the end ), I teamed it up with Surfmist fascia, Woodland Grey gutters and Gunmetal roof tiles. And pure white windows. I liked that. Woodland Grey gutters were our second choice because they had just discontinued our first choice - Plantation - which was dark olive/charcoal - this dash of green gave this stunning brick such a beautiful contrast and just a touch of colour (it's the natural sandy light brown in this brick that goes so well with a bit of green or close to green).
