Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 17, 2009 2:04 pm Just wondering how many people are building/built in these suburbs. We're currently building in Burtonia Gardens, Piara Waters with Summit. We dont know anyone in the area as we're moving from Wattle Grove. Thought we might be able to recommend tradies/contractors etc to each other for those post handover things such as fencing, limestone walls, landscaping, painters etc. Also those essentials once we've moved in such as doctor, takeaway, garden centre, shops etc. Looking forward to meeting some soon to be neighbours Re: Building Piara Waters/Harrisdale/Forrestdale? 2Nov 26, 2009 9:31 pm saffie Just wondering how many people are building/built in these suburbs. We've got PCI booked for the 16th Dec but our bank manager thinks we'll be pushing it to get final payment by christmas eve. She's going to try & hurry it along but of course earliest we can get flooring installed is after 4th Jan. So we're hoping to get the keys on the 4th otherwise we'll be doing some major reshuffling of tradies etc we've booked. Our block is 624sqm, house is about 210sqm living areas with a 40sqm alfresco under main roof. So hello neighbours *waves* Re: Building Piara Waters/Harrisdale/Forrestdale? 7Nov 26, 2009 10:38 pm saffie I'd forgotten all about this thread! Re: Building Piara Waters/Harrisdale/Forrestdale? 15Nov 27, 2009 3:46 pm Been to the CYO just once for lunch... was pricey yes but nice still We'll be using Southside hopefully when we get our keys early next year. Looking for a paver for our driveway also. Re: Building Piara Waters/Harrisdale/Forrestdale? 16Nov 27, 2009 3:51 pm We've got PCI booked for the 16th Dec so hopefully they'll get finished in time. Tiling is all done. Plumber & electrician were supposed to be there on Wednesday, but they'd only put the rangehood in when I dropped off the 3in 1 bathroom heaters. I'm hoping when I go this afternoon the glass splashback & kitchen benches are in & some electrical work done. Prices seem a bit much for a pub. Nicholsons has great food for a good price might have to stick to there. Feral cheryl (DD) cant do too much damage there Anyone found a good chinese yet?
