I'm looking at building my first home with my partner... just wondering if anyone has had any experience with building with Aushomes in Brisbane as they are a fairly small company... not sure if we should go with them??

theres no differance between all the volume builders , it all comes down to the supervisor & the trades you get. Believe me i've worked with quite a few of the companies and quite a few of the supervisors within the companies.

I think Swarvy is right. After reading so many of the stories here, it truely depends on who you end up with as a supervisor and the tradies they can get onto your build, not to mention having to rely on the suppliers to have all the materials ready for the tradies when they're needed.
We've been pretty lucky compared to a lot of people, we haven't had a lot of misshaps or bungles with the build itself, aside from a corner of our garage slab cracking. Our issues came to play when we were waiting and waiting for what seemed like forever for our bricks to arrive and ended up choosing different bricks from a different supplier.
EDIT: ours is a very small builder, and I think our SS is somewhat of a rookie to a degree, but he's doing a lovely job of it all

Thanks for your advice. All signed up now... so lets hope that supervisers and tradies do a good job
