Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 27, 2007 10:14 pm We all have an opinion on whether or not our builder is good or bad but the eternal question that all builders want to know is "Would you recommend us to a friend?"
Personally I am satisfied with my builder and have no hesitation about promoting them to freinds, family, forum members and anyone who will listen. There are ithers who have had the exact opposite experiance and would tell everyone to steer clear. What would you do? Re: Would you recommend your builder to somebody else? 2Jun 27, 2007 10:40 pm My builder is a personal friend of mine…..and his wife!
He is one of our better builders in my town. Unfortunately one of his past clients didn’t think so, and is now taking him to court over an issue that I feel was the occupants fault! I had a lot to with this project and specified everything that when IN and ON the home…..and we are talking about a 2 million dollar home here! So, as much as I (and we know I do) bag the***** out of some building companies, I feel sorry for the builders who are doing the right thing, but still the client has to find someone to ******about. And unfortunately in this case the builder has been the target! So far I am very much satisfied with my builder (Clarendon Homes Vic), but I am just about finished with the frame stage. There is still a lot of water to go under the bridge before I can start recommending them though. But if they keep going at that rate, then certainly! Re: Would you recommend your builder to somebody else? 4Jun 28, 2007 2:20 pm Absolutely would recommend M3tricon, based on my experiences. I know others on tis forum have had some issues with them, but I can safely say that 6 months on, everything is great. Adrian B Re: Would you recommend your builder to somebody else? 5Jun 28, 2007 3:24 pm I have voted no, because I don't think that any building company is consistent - one house goes up with no problems and another is full of problems.
This is not a criticism of any building company I have used but rather just saying that just because my experience was good, doesn't mean others will find the same. 3xb Re: Would you recommend your builder to somebody else? 6Jul 01, 2007 11:14 pm 3timesbuilda I have voted no, because I don't think that any building company is consistent - one house goes up with no problems and another is full of problems. No wonder I was told we should treat the contractors/workers as special guest, prepare some beers/music for them, hoping they won't stuff up my house...
