Lookin' good Is that a carport or will it be a garage? Are there anymore blocks for sale in your lane? Thanks Katie81, sorry there are no more vacant lots on our lane. We were very lucky to get the block we have. We are having a carport and plan to use wood effect aluminium slats along the side to block the cars from view when in the courtyard. 18/06/09 Pre-Start / 18/09/09 Slab / 05/10/09 Brickwork / 21/10/09 Roof / 11/12/09 Lock-up 18/02/10 PCI 04/03/10 HANDOVER My Building Thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=24789 Re: Serenity's Cottage with a view - and a ROOF! 67Nov 09, 2009 10:41 pm Love it Serenity!!! Besides, my kitchen reno is now chugging along and I'm getting very excited now about it all! I will just drool over your LTC in the meantime Re: Serenity's Cottage with a view - and a ROOF! 69Nov 14, 2009 10:31 am Update: Well, I am a little disappointed. We seemed to be motoring along until now. Apart from the sand being delivered at the beginning of the week, nothing has happened on site. The plasterer was supposed to come on Thursday/Friday to do our float and outside render but that hasn't happened. Will have to keep my fingers crossed he turns up next week . 18/06/09 Pre-Start / 18/09/09 Slab / 05/10/09 Brickwork / 21/10/09 Roof / 11/12/09 Lock-up 18/02/10 PCI 04/03/10 HANDOVER My Building Thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=24789 Re: Serenity's Cottage with a view - Where's the Plasterer? 71Nov 14, 2009 11:48 am Candylea Maybe he's still at my house Have you been down to check your progress this week Candylea? 18/06/09 Pre-Start / 18/09/09 Slab / 05/10/09 Brickwork / 21/10/09 Roof / 11/12/09 Lock-up 18/02/10 PCI 04/03/10 HANDOVER My Building Thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=24789 Re: Serenity's Cottage with a view - Where's the Plasterer? 72Nov 14, 2009 11:51 am I shall be looking today... Re: Serenity's Cottage with a view - Where's the Plasterer? 73Nov 18, 2009 10:50 am The Plasterer must be reading my thread as he went to the house on Sunday and put the metal corners in place as prep for the float which he started on Monday. Re: Serenity's Cottage with a view - Getting plastered! 80Dec 16, 2009 11:25 am Looks like I have been slack and started to neglect my thread (really have been extra busy at work). Anyways I will try and backtrack what has happened in the last few weeks- According to the timeline that was given to us by our SS, we were not due to get the white plaster set until the 02 December; but we saw that the plasterer was finished by end of November! CN2999.JPG Then STOP - nothing happened on site for the next 2 weeks (maybe they were waiting for the plaster to dry out?) So we were thinking that nothing was going to happen for a while as it was getting closer to the dreaded Christmas break when all the tradies seem to knock off work and no-one knows when they will be returning back to site - when Windows installed http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_OnO_iOLz2fs/S ... CN3040.JPG and now we cannot get in WE ARE AT LOCK-UP IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS ... and are resorting to having to take photos through the glass (which turn out pretty nasty) but nothing is going to stop us from having a try though!
